Elimination Final Game Day Thread v Lions

Just watching the last minute, Joe the Goose plays like one all season and just happens to soccer the killer through to seal their win.....or has he?? Did it bounce through as touched or did he really kick it? No score review there I suppose.

Just watching ch 7 news and a video from the crowd showed Lynch’s kick was a goal. Quite definitive. Should’ve gone with the goal umpire - seems he got it right.

Based on the overall game we played yesterday it would have been unlikely we would have progressed much further but we will never know.
The main thing this season has given us is a number of cubs worthy of playing consistent AFL footy for years to come. That there are more in the pipeline is a bonus

We may have been in the right but it wasn't given and we can't change it. Mind you is doesn't stop us being filthy about it

Just because we had a shocker last night we were still in the game until the last minute of the game, and doesn’t mean that we would play like that next week. We could’ve gone the whole way, we didn’t lose by big margins through the year which suggests we we always in the game and no game was out of reach.

I'm pissed off because the decision to overrule was done so quickly. These arc images 100% show the inconsistency of where the ball is, thus in no way should it have been overturned. ROBBED

Losing by those small margins winds me up something rotten but we haven't shown the killer instinct and teams good or bad know that. There are no bad teams left in the finals and they all know how to capitalise on our frailties

We've had young players injure hammies too. Can't just be old age, that's over simplistic and hand waves away any responsibility to critically look at ways to get better.
If you have some statistical analysis that shows we're worse than average with injuries over a period of time, then I'll give it more than a cursory thought before my submission to the club on how we should address our fitness management.

I reckon he had as much clue as the ARC guy.

Lynch shouldn’t have made it so indecipherable from 5m out anyway. There’s your REAL issue.
Certain angles I have seen since yesterday shows it looked like a goal. Sure it was close and he should have made it unquestionable but how can you reverse the decision of the umpire in this scenario. If the goal umpire had little clue standing on the line what hope the ARC guy? If the AFL are going to support the decision show us the vision replay they chose to come to their overrule decision. Be transparent and then maybe we can respect them.

George would be good for them.

I've raised this too. If I was Kingsley I'd want Toby Greene playing through the midfield more. The key to that, is getting Daniels fit and getting another small. George would be good for them, a tough trainer, works hard, defensive pressure (something they have struggled with).
