Elimination Final Game Day Thread v Lions

Agree. Worst game of the year. Nearly every touch straight to Lions player.
Whole midfield setup was cr@p. Cotch 50%, Sonsie 47%, Nanks 38%. Neale 72%. We know our midfield is sub-par this year. Short in midfield just doesn't do it for me.

On paper and form we should have won by at least 5-7 goals.
Hate to say it but I reckon Dimma got out coached tonight.

We leaked like a sieve with the ball going over the back near goals what felt like every time.

We were fumbly.

Our backline was timid with the exception of Vlastuin and Rioli D. See ball, get ball, please.

MRj is a first-half superstar. Wait till he gets a tank.

Sonsie is going to be great.

Bolton? No idea if he played tonight. Tagged?

Arc review was typical AFL. If it is a clear overturn then show the clear footage.

Dusty did one or two nice things but we probably would have been better off with another youngster.

Losing Prestia was massive, again.

Oh well no more footy for me this year. Might check the scores.

Here's to Sydney or Freo winning it with Geelong out in straight sets.

Just a sensational game of footy, one of the best finals matches ever I would reckon. Shame there had to be a loser and shame it was us.

Sums up our season in a way, didn't take our chances in close games and it cost us a genuine premiership shot.

Going to be hard watching the next few weeks knowing we should be there, but the game is in great shape, the new rules are flying and if tonight is any indication it will be a magnificent finals series.

And next year has plenty of promise.
Nah. Wouldn't crack top 20. Too many *smile* mistakes on both sides. Nothing will ever top the 94 Cats-Nth Prelim.

Just goes to show all that the rules and umpiring can influence games.
We didn't lose because of Neil, the AFL overturned an umpire without evidence.
4 goals from free kicks.
I have no one to support now.
Lynch missed from 5 metres out when he could have iced the game.

In all honesty I think Dimmas stubbornness had a lot to do with tonight. After 5 mins he should have put all his energy in stopping Neale. He literally got everything moving their way. Had we stopped him early it would have been an easy win

Personally I still find the umpire's corruption a bit draining, but I am used to it.

Definitive evidence is normally required to overturn an umpire's decision, but oh well. That's how the AFL operates, as we already knew.

Promising signs by a lot of the team.

I would love to see the angle the arc had for the overturn.
I am seriously staggered by that decision.
Unbelievable
Lynch made the decision for them
The only footage they looked at was Lynch not celebrating.
He missed 2 set shots in the last qtr.
That's no good
