My god... Is it possible that Grimes is not as complete a player as Adam Goodes?

Shame shame shame, Grimes. How is it that at 22 with 35 games under your belt, you weren't able to out position and out body a 339 game dual brownlow medallist?

He should throw it in now, I mean, if you get beaten by Adam Goodes one time, you're probably not even worth a spot in the side.

Please read my post in the context that it was written. I was only talking about fitness. Grimes didn't have the fitness to go with Goodes.

But make up another story to make yourself feel better.

He can play, his brother can also.. Needs a good run with Injuries and we've picked up a steal, what was he a Rookie list or rookie draft?
PSD. A speculative pick that seems to have paid dividends. I did love his goal, his reaction and the reaction of everyone around him. I wonder if he's been learning from Rance to push up the ground as a defender?

Picked up in the preseason draft.

How he played yesterday is what he used to do pre-hamstring injuries. Both he and Batchelor need to continually encouraged to take game on & run & create - not just depend their man (which of course their role requires).

After five years at Tigerland it is about time Nylon produced some form that us Tigers will appreciate. I do think he is to light on to be a rugged defender so why not slot him on a wing.

Nylon you have been listed on half back line this week so expect another one or two six pointers from you. Remember when ya get it kick it.

Much better last couple of games , looks like a footballer again :clap
Correct.
Maybe it is only fair to let this bloke play the full season - then hopefully get the following pre-season under his belt.
And then by this time next year we should know for sure i.e. know whether he's recovered his fitness, form and confidence to the extent that he can build his career based on the promise he showed in those first 20 games.

Grimes, Batchelor and Dea will be important cogs in our future backline IMO. Those, along with Rance and Astbury, form a formidable core backline. All are young, all are talented, all are hungry. Think we'll be right in that area.

Rance is a lock an IMHO if Astbury an Grimes stay fit that's not a bad back 3 the others I don't hold out a great deal of hope, we must ad speed an skill back there

Agree CC, our lack of speed/creative run is the issue. Houli has great aerobic capacity but his disposal is massively overrated and he's become a liability defensively. Dea/Batchelor lack real speed and are not really at a stage they would feel comfortable talking the game on (especially under this regime). They would be trying their best to consolidate their spot in the side.

Deledio needs to be played off a HBF IMO.

yes upward trend is continuing

had a couple of errors on the weekend, fumbles and handballing to the opposition -

if he keeps improving and thereby building his confidence, I reckon these types of errors will reduce

Geez! Thought the Grub was almost non existent against the Lions. Tangled with Lewis Taylor n lost the jumper punching game, peeled off the wrong option n crashed a team mate allowing the Brivegas player to waltz n pirouette on his way to goal, flubbed a couple of possessions n was all round pretty quiet all game.

It's like watching Frodo tyring to get out of a spiders web!

Bet Nylon hopes he does not have to line up on White this coming Porters/Tigers fixture.
