if I remember correctly I don't think there was anybody in the forward line :-\
yep that's right. I thought he looked like he'd regained some form though. He took some intercept marks, ran hard and was back spoiling like he did in his first games. One of the very few positives I thought.

Understand what you mean and that happened at times.
But at that time I was sure he should have continued.

Agree, Grimes and Dea were OK.

One positive out of the game is he finally played out a dreamtime clash. He's torn his hammy 3 times in this same game in past years.

Ah those were the days - when our biggest concern was the health of Grimes' hammies!

Pathetic chase of old man Goodes in the first half. Add to that the pass from full back that missed three Tigers at CHB and led to a goal. He just hasn't come on.

I wouldn't call it pathetic, more sad. He clearly had blown up and couldn't go with the veteran. I have more questions over his value to the side than any other (including the favourite 'duds' in Hampson, Thomas etc.).

I'd keep him in for the rest of the year. He's shown more than enough to show another 10 or so games of faith. He's had some shocking injuries so we need to see if it's the lack of a good fitness base, confidence in his body or if the injuries have taken their tol..

Disagree. But that is just a difference of opinion. A real liability out there at the moment. Cruelled by injury? Maybe time will aid him, but he was part of the problem tonight.

I was only watching on TV but I'd have liked to see how far Grimes had run before the Goodes chase.

That chase was awful. Blew up after 20 metres. With the lack of body development and lack of fitness, does he work hard enough in pre season?

Has gone backwards. A worry.
