Agree, if his foot has healed, he isn't in any pain, has been cleared by the medical guys then get him playing.

Would love to see him working in with Chappy and new improved Rance.

Foot injury pffft, bet u it was his hammy again.

In finals you require players that have toughed it out all season & are as hard as nails. Grimes is not in that category although these days with the sub he fits into the sub mix so might get a jumper as a sub.

Way too good for that.
Cream on the cake for our finals team. Perfect player to make a good defence even better.

Grimes is an interesting one.

Normally I'd say to have played earlier in the season and then resumed in say round 20 was a huge advantage over not having played all year. Huge.

I have a theory. That Grimes is a slow warmer. That is to say, takes time to blow the cobwebs out. Normally when he's rusty he is very busy.

In early 2013 we saw a different Grimes. He was slow, out of his depth and just plain terrible. Almost lazy.

I put it down to his terrible secret. The broken foot. (Sore then broken.) That version of Grimes did not resemble the younger player. This new one was useless. Gotta be the foot.

Now I'm not sure whether Grimes will be advantaged by having played earlier this year, when (we now know) he could not walk.

He's got four weeks. Could be good times. #6 or #7 player for us fully fit.

Don't get people saying Grimes was useless when he came back earlier in the year. He was still good. Still better than Astbury, Batchelor and Petterd combined

I agree. Wasn't getting huge possessions but was very good defensively.

Fair enough, Stylo. Problee judged him too harshly by his own fine standards.

But it was not Dylan Grimes I was watching.

Hope his composure remains intact...Coburg report indicates decision making was ordinary last weekend. Another week in the two's but then should come in for the GWS game and round out with the Bummers game before the final...and fingers crossed we don't get the Pat Cummins scenario with another comeback breakdown

Dylan Grimes:
Was excellent defensively. His closing speed on opponents’ leads was back, as was his aggression. Offensively, he was just a bit scratchy, with some missed kicks and ordinary decision-making. But will be better again next match.

Composure is a pretty natural attribute. Not something a player will just lose
