Dylan Grimes JDM

So I assume he has accepted sanction.
When does he have to let them know by?
Can he challenge and it still stays a week if challenge fails?

Was referred to a a 'flopper' on MMM this morning, been out all day, first chance to post.
Suggesting Cox get off as a result.

I believe so. I wouldn't be surprised to see both us and Collingwood at the tribunal. As much as a dislike him, there is no way that Cox should miss a game for that, not even a fine for me. Grimes's was clumsy but we could challenge on it being below reportable contact. Not sure we would win on that argument though, but it does seem cray that such a soft hit misses a week, but a gut punch that takes players down for a good minute only gets a fine. Christian reckons its because they didn't come off, that's a cop out for mine.

From a TV POV it looked soft but Talking Footy on Ch 7 just said the Tigers have confirmed Grimo copped concussion.

Haha suck *smile* Daddy Long Legs.

Yes accepted the 1 week

Cox challenged and lost. Still out just the 1 week

If Grimes was concussed from Cox incident, is it arguable that based on Grimes being concussed that the contact on Elliott was not intentional?

Interesting point tigers1980, has that argument been used successfully before?

Just saw a different angle of the Cox incident, he ran at Grimes who was running across to cover the space around Cox, then made contact with his head, can't see Cox getting off. In any case I reckon WCE would be more effective at denying Cox the sort of silver service he has been able to get when we play Collingwood.

Cox should’ve pulled out. He got off lightly though, the penalty could’ve been 18 years.

Grimes could have argued he wasn’t thinking properly after cox hit him.

That's been tried in he past but I think then the club is sanctioned for keeping a concussed player on the ground.

We're going to really miss Grimes on the weekend. His loss will be an almost impossible hole to fill.

Dont worry Hardwick will go the ‘depth’ and bring in Menadue.
God help us.

There are times where you do make me laugh, Zips. Thanks.
If you you could go back in time, I'm reckoning Tivendale, maybe even Hyde, might be a better inclusion than Menadue.
Don't worry, Hardwick will have it sorted.

Is Toby Green playing? If not, it probably cancels out as I expect that is who Grimes would have played on.

Garthwaite on Cameron, Astbury on Keefe or resting ruck, Balta on Himmelberg and Broad on Haynes (if he plays forward, looked good v Weagles there)

Doubtful.

Grimes ran at a bloke with his arm raised and hit him in the head with it. He was lucky to only get 1 week.
