Dylan Grimes JDM

Another great season from a player who couldn't get on the park for his first three years at the club. So happy for him!

Finished 5th in the JDM.. Very stiff not to finish higher this year. Had an incredible season.

Still our highest rated defender. Such an important player, had a fantastic year. Should have been All Australian

Yep. Top 3 would've been satisfying enough (for me anyway)

I changed the channel the other night to foxfooty and the Richmond Essendon game was on, grimes comes off his man intercepts the ball 50/50 in front of TippaWoddy. With that play it ended up in a goal.
As good as Rance has been over the last 5 years. Grimes would have to be one of the best defenders to ever wear our jumper.

I can work with that too. He is a ripper defender, exciting to watch and tougher than 99.9% of AFL players. Good time to be on the tiger journey.

Watch the replay he was on him quite early in the first quarter.

Yes he was and De Goey did very little. From memory Grimes halved an early contest. But Rance was moved onto De Goey quite early and was continually losing him. He was pantsed. Not sure why Grimes went off him but when he went back on him in the 3rd after all the damage was done De Goey again was hardly sighted.

Explain something to me, Rance is bigger in statue and heavier then grimes. So how was Degoey beating him in one on ones?
Rance had a shocker that night. Everyone he went to smashed him. It was Rance of 2010.
In nearly all of our losses Rance was beaten. Even the dud Hooker destroyed him in the last QTR.

Well, it depends on who the sculptor is and their budget.

For example, Lou Richards is bigger in statue than Mark Ricciutto.

Did not
See the preliminary loss as was OS on a train at the time but I have noticed if they isolate Rance and it becomes a one on one in the air he can get beaten. Needs his contacts he led again.

DeGoey was beating Rance convincingly on the lead, he wasn't being beaten in a strength contest. He was simply too quick for him whereas Grimes seemed able to play tighter. Rance was pretty good once he was moved off him, I think you're over-exaggerating Rance's game overall.

Not only did he beat him his pace, he also out marked him in the first qtr and then out bodied him in the goal square in the 2nd qtr. if Rance stayed on degoey, he would've kicked 10

But....... our midfield was being smashed. Rance is a part of our team which relies on defence across all lines. Bit harsh to single out Rancealot for being screwed when our whole team were being plugged. In more interesting matters though.
Degoey lost the grand final when he let the best intercept mark go, hoping he would run under the ball, f u degoei snapperhead.

Wont be winning any beauty contests for a while, not sure how it happened or who did it but Grimes had his nose busted in a big way at training

It looks very painful.

Copping a bit of stick from his team mates and the club via social media :rofl

Clubs twitter account says : Dylan Grimes' nose injury will snot affect his preparation for the upcoming season
