I think most supporters in the AFL wouldn't have a clue who Grimes is. Seriously under rated outside of Tigerland.

I'm always reading opinions elsewhere that "Richmond won't go anywhere with players like Grimes, etc etc etc in the team".

A suspected troll on this forum even labelled him "soft".

One of my favourite Tigers, always gives 100% and is becoming more damaging offensively too.

Before the injuries he was taking intercept marks by the truckload. More of a lockdown player now, but he got the handball low to the ground to Butler for his running goal.

Also, seeing Hartlett get crunched like that was awesome.

Definitely underrated Posh.

Having been a back pocket player (and an average one at that!) in my brief footballing career, I have always kept an eye on the tiger small defenders. Massive wraps for Grimes.

Has been said before, but he is everything that I hoped Will Thursfield would become.

Agree. He plays tall or small and is brutally committed to getting to contests at full tilt.

And is becoming more creative on the rebound. Still only 25, turns 26 next week. Best is ahead for him.

The club also deserve some kudos for getting him on the park consistently after his years of hamstring issues.

Looked very career threatening for a good while.

It took him a while to start marking. In first main year, 2011, he was a spoiling machine, prefer to punch than mark. He held the AFL record of 15 spoils in one match at one stage.

Robbie Gray aRobbie Gray Robbie Gray
All I been hearing.
Grimes pantses him and '......Crickets....' for Grimesy

In Robbo's likes on round 15! For all to see :clap

He attacks the ball like a Panther attacking a chicken. There's no 50-50 *smile*. Wonderful defender. Reliable.

The best hit was against North in final. The North player is still getting up :clap

Soft he is not, i still remember one of the finals where he tagged and got tagged an oppo player, it was one of those where you open your mouth and go ooohhhhh...

I have said a few times i could see him with an AA next to his name when he retires, maybe he will, maybe he won't, either way he is very dependable and a very very good player, massive win for a PSD pick.

Probably be our best PSD pick. They seem to conveniently forget that in the media.

I really liked that too Zips. Grimesy made it look like it was clumsy but I think he meant to do it. ;)

I'm pretty sure it was Higgins and he was very sore.

Higgins hipbone is still entrenched in the grass on the fifty line...

Apparently according to Champion Data, Dylan hasn't had a goal kicked on him by his direct opponent since Round 9.

It's talked about on the Superfooty podcast, says an article I read (can't link, on phone).

That's quite amazing.

Dylan has a rare combo of size, speed, reach and innate defensive smarts.

off field, hes probably the nicest, mildest mannered bloke on our list.

on field, he revels in hurting blokes
