Grimey.. Tigers Zac Dawson. Maligned but deliver the coaches instructions.
Since when is Grimes maligned? Our most important defender behind Rance.

Agree. 'Much maligned' is an invalid characterisation of those here I would have thought. I can't recall reading a maligning comment, let alone many or much!

Rock solid defender
Alongside rance as our reliable defenders
Check the last 1 minute of satedeys nights ga me. Super spoil on the X west coast dud

Yeah cause Chaplin is doing such a wonderfully great job!!!!!
Grimes is integral to our backline. Can play tall or small. A skinny version of rance, gives his all and then some.

Tall or small !! Eddie Betts would just luv to have Grimey line up on him. No contest with Eddie winning hands down.

This year we see a more bulked up Grimes which is an asset so it is now time for Grimey to put it all together & plug that tall hole down back which has leaked for years.

Hope so .

His game is founded on intercepts and spoils, so a casual observer is less likely to rate him. Was 9th in the b&f from 18 matches, a whisker behind Cotchin and well in front of Chaplin (both 22 matches). No question about his internal rating.

Approaching 25 and only 66 games... his best footy lies ahead if he can stay on the park.

Gawd this guy is good. Played more like Rance tonight than Rance. Please please please let the hammy be strong!

Good player. No coincidence that since he has been back the backline has looked a whole heap better, and as a result so has the side

Gave Grimes 2 votes.

Rarely lost a contest and he was our smartest player last night.

Great decision making, knows when to attack and when to defend, read it very well.

One of my favourites I admit... I really like some of the moves he makes, silky, especially when he backs himself in! I always worry re his hamstrings though and cringe when he is running at full pace.

I think we may have gotten the good Grimes, and he only cost us a PSD pick, not a top 20 draft pick. It's no coincidence that the back line has improved considerably since he returned.
