At least that Duz and Chimp passing game was great to watch late in the last quarter leading to a Duz goal.

Plodding atm. Owes us nothing .

Would look at a trade for a 1st rounder & 2nd years end .
We need to get back into the draft .
Haargh. At 32 and plodding he's gunna get us a first and second round draft pick. Maybe if we pay all his salary next year we get a bit for him, but even then not that much.

I remind the tiger faithful that Dusty was struggling in 2021 before the horrific Mitchism. It was about Round 15 I think and his form was concerning then.
As we all say, he owes us nothing, but I find it really hard to watch him play these days with the expectations of the past weighing so heavily upon him. He seems to have lost any desire to connect with the fans on the Tiger media platform and is a far cry from the powerful and in his own way, engaging, Dusty we knew.

Cotchy got the tough love last week, could Dusty be next to be subbed? Would this ignite a fire or would it snuff a smoldering ember?
Where is Emma when we need her?

I'll never forget hearing Mark Mercuri had the same mental change when losing his Dad.

A few more almost games and reckon Dusty will call time on his own. Looks a player that wont want to play on if he is not dominating games anymore. Think he is also getting frustrated with his body. Can see his mind is still Dusty of 2017 but the body just isnt keeping up.
Would open up a heck of salary cap which would help filling some major holes we have.
Still a legend but i hate seeing these almost games. Feel bad for him as he has been so bloody good!

17 games left take it easy . If he keeps playing and gets continuity you watch what will happen.
So you reckon he is a quitter…?? That is what you’re saying- a few more almost games and he will call time.
That is rolled gold bulldust guesswork

Sheesh. Take it easy Tiger. My point is that he is a proud man and if he feels he can no longer be that big time player the team needs he will call it quits. Not calling him a quitter. That is your assumption. Some blokes know when the time is right. Some are selfish and play on for the wrong reasons. Dont think Dusty is that guy. He will see the season out but could possibly call it quits if his body cant produce what his mind wants.

Sorry I get a bit defensive re our champs...
But you did open with... "A few more Almost games and I reckon Dusty will call time on his own...'
How else do I read that? That doesn't suggest playing out the season. And an almost game for Dusty is better than most eg. had 25 disposals, 1.4 and 21 pressure acts
and then youstart talking about Salary cap space he will open up, so I just disagree that we even need to go here yet. Leave it to the media..!

Every time he went into the middle he had a positive impact.

He's kicked 4 goals for the season.

4.

Get him out of the forward 50m FFS. Wasted.

As with Bolton, it needs to be 50/50 at least. Never again deep forward either. Must be in the play as much as possible - his ball use (with the exception of goal kicking) is as good as ever.

This. He is our best CC player. It's a joke he's not thewre more often. So dynamic in there.

It's a weird obsession that we have with playing blokes out of position and changing it up.
Rarely works at elite level.

CBA CC
Tarranto 19 1
Hopper Same
Bolton About the same
Ross 5 0
Pickett 3 0
Short 3 1
Dusty 4 3

Obviously those stats arent a perfect reflection of a players value in the centre, and last week Dusty was in 4 times for no clearances, but when the game was there to be won yesterday, he probably should have been in the square, rather than throwing PIckett in.

Except Castagna.
And Short.
And Pickett
And Baker.
And Rioli
and .....

Many would have been happy to see Biggie come in, before he was injured to play ruck.

The league leading Pies have McStay up forward, drafted as a key back, have Moore and Howe down back- both started as forwards.

Can posters please stop pretending we are the only team that moves players, and that it never works.

I think we need Dusty and Shai playing centre, mid, half forward (where the ball is going), have an open forward line to stop these sides from running half of their team from their HF to their HB lines then kicking it wide to allow them to run to their next point.
