Dustin Martin

IMO If we dont offer Dusty $1Mill pa hes :wave goodbye
FFS were offering the midget $750K pa Dusty deserves & is worth much more than that

If Martin has another excellent season in 2017 then without doubt every AFL club will be making enquiries as to his availability and asking price.
RFC will have to work hard to keep Martin, particularly if season 2017 ends up going pear-shaped.

In fact, a crap 2017 season and I reckon there could chances, other than Martin, that Riewoldt and Rance might look elsewhere to continue their careers.

Interesting comments from his mate Dane.
He thinks Dustin will re commit but thinks that if Dustin thinks we aren't close
enough to winning a flag he might move on.

You'd imagine this conversation has been had between those two guys.

you might need to read that again T80.

Probably not cos they will probably be trying to re sign Elton, Lambert, Batchelor, Butler and Grigg to new 3 year deals ;)

Not really sure, we played hardball with him last time but we have to remember there is no media gig after footy for Dusty so its pretty important he capitalises on the money at some stage.

No we didn't. We played hardball 2 contract renewals ago. The last one happened away from the public eye and was just announced after he renewed.

Reckon it depends how he's advised. He would surely accept less to stay with us. Also we know he's no rocket scientist but if we offered say $4.5m over 5 years, thats the equivalent to earning $50k over 90 years!! Its highly unlikely we will pay him peanuts again, he will be well remunerated to stay at the RFC

He will be our first million dollar man.

Needs to be.

Worth every cent.

Matchwinner in finals? I wouldn't pay that.
Dusty had a great season last year but the team didn't win many games of football.
Good player sure, not worth a million dollars a season IMO.
