No we can't. Dusty has all the cards. If we trade with another club and Dusty doesn't want to go there, there is nothing we can do about it. I do believe as another poster says if Dusty decides to go to the draft, he can name his price and the first club in draft order that is willing to pay him that contract will get him. And we will get NOTHING in return. It pays for everyone to act mature in these negotiations. Act with spite and the only ones that will lose will be the Richmond FC. Best case scenario if we play our cards right is we sign up Dusty, and worst case scenario should be we do a good trade with whoever he goes to. The other team will want to trade to guarantee getting him. They know we can match the offer. Preferable for all parties if Dusty insists on leaving is to trade. And that should facilitate a fair deal.

Nixon and im sure main media will grab onto it say North offering 1.5 or so and may have got their man with a new offer..

Only hope now is that Dusty takes control and goes against what the Merkin and others close to him are advising, which is unlikely given he's never shown that attitude before.
If North are offering 500k a year more than us, that's a big price to pay for loyalty.
Ch7 FrontBar did a skit on the Dusty Martin (that they have posted on the RFC page) with Sam Pang asking Benny for a Dusty update.

Don't think Dusty wants to live behind (blue) bars for 7 years if he's getting an 8 million base elsewhere.
I wouldn't work in Ghana for just a 35% salary increase.
