In the battle of the Brownlow, Danger(suspension aside) came out well on top yesterday.

Luckily for Dusty Danger got rubbed out cos he wouldve grabbed 3 yesterday and could well have stitched up the Brownlow.

Dangerfield may not even poll. Taylor, Motlop and Guthrie at least in front.

Odds are he won't poll. Good chance he won't poll for the rest of the year no matter how good he plays.

Geez jimbob really?
30 possessions & 10 tackles. Thought he was the best player on the park by a distance. Huge.
Fair enought and tend to agree but i was trying to make the point that he may not poll. i.e. the umpires won't see it the same way.

So hypothetical Martin holds off on talks until after the finals and season finishes and his form in the finals is poor or average what happens? Do we still have out 1.2 million offer on the table? Will North or whoever pay big dollars for a bloke who has never done anything special in a finals campaign? Intersting times ahead. If he wants the big dollars he needs to be a September champion!

If we go our straight sets and he has a ' Grigg 'like final campaign.
I would let him walk.
We desperately need a tall marking forward.
I would use the same money to get Patton or Lynch

He ought to be ashamed of how he's treated the club. He should've made an announcement weeks ago, we owe him nothing. Can't believe all the susposed love he is getting from his teammates, l would be very dirty with him for holding the club to ransom. Must come to head this week accept the final or pizz off I say. By the way I believe a 6 or 7 year deal will be a monumental disaster

we probably owe him a bit for having one of the best individual seasons ever, and almost single handedly dragging us 9 places up the ladder.

Yep it's got to the stage where he is bending the club over!

I'd give him 6 years but not 7.
Would hate to lose Dusty now but it's getting to the point now where supporters sentiment is gonna turn against him.

Losing Danger doesn't seem to have been too much of a disaster for the Crows.

The merkin had better be very careful or all his hard work be undone!

Im not a big Dangerfield liker think he is a bit up himself but when he left the crows asked for fair compensation for them and said he wanted to play with the cats on a high but fair salary so they still had the opportunity to bring in extra talent. Compare this to Martin and his management who just want the big bucks and dont seem to want play the team first philosophy!

Whats with RFC.com writing an article about Dusty on track for most brownlow votes ever?

The footy blokes would hate the geeks creating cyclones of wind up players arses.

Spot on ST! I get the feeling we're at a tipping point.

RFC has been more than patient so far.
I guess in Balmey we trust.

He did that for his girlfriend, not Geelong.

It's an afl.com.au article that was also posted on the RFC site because the AFL controls our website.

serious question: Is Tom Mitchell a chance? 18 games with over 30+ possessions. he must be in the frame.

He won't poll because the AFL will wanna avoid the embarrassment of an ineligible player winning.

I reckon the coaches votes for our game will go roughly to Harry Taylor, Cam Guthrie, Steve Motlop and Menegola.

that should reinforce what a *smile* of a day it was. :p

Danger, Vlastuin and Dion will feature. maybe Dusty.
