If he is staying ,

I think he needs to put the clubs interest at heart and make an announcement before finals , be a great boost for the clubs confidence levels , surely he knows that and is aware that is best for the clubs interests , that is if the club interests are a priority

No announcement before finals , would make me doubt he is staying , and even if he is staying , would indicate some selfishness IMO , which would still be disappointing

If he intends to stay with the Toigs I don't care how long he takes to say it, or how he delivers the news. If he intends leaving, then he must leave the announcement until we're out of the finals.

If he goes he goes but it can't derail the club.
We should be on the front foot and go hard after lynch.
Lynch and Rockliff would be perfect compo for him leaving

Did Hawthorn get anything like that for Buddy?
yeah, it doesn't pay to lose free agents when you are high on the ladder

late first rounder but given he is restricted we can match offer and trade with the club. Ie Geelong and Dangerfield

If he leaves for 1.5 million then surely we get two first rounders?

Nope.

We will get pick 15 roughly (depends where we finish) for a Brownlow medalist in his prime.

So the extra half a mil a year gets you nothing more in compo ?

If Dusty leaves, should he be dropped?

If DM announces he is going to another club after round 23, should the match committee drop him?
The fact that he would be deserting the club and his mates would be very destabilising whether he is on the field or not, and what would the vibe onfield be like if they knew he didn't give a damn and was leaving?

Yeah by a guy who when asked said Carr was tall (he's a short arse). Good try zgod....
Just popped up on my news feed on facebook
Just sharing it.

Just on SEN

Ox saying mail that a coach has booked a ticket to NZ after Rd 23.

Going with Nths coach

Would be shattered if he goes there.

Re: If Dusty leaves, should he be dropped?

Won't happen.

He's staying. If there is an announcement that week it's to say that Dusty is a Tiger for Life (and an instant millionaire).

If there's no announcement - start to worry.

Unfortunately no. They would have to change the rules.

Best you can get is first rounder after your pick.

If that were to happen it would highlight exactly how pathetically amateurish AFL is. NRL players have been contracting to other clubs mid to late season for years, no-one bats an eyelid. Totally professional n understanding that every time the player runs out he gives his best regardless of which club he may be playing for at the time or going to in the future.

Dusty's had a career best season while his contract negotiations are on hold n his manager is listening to offers from other clubs, not a doubt that he would still put in 100% to the Tigers during this years finals even if he was going elsewhere next year.

Probaly is BS waiting, however this is the point, media are loving it and it can't be good for the team, a few team mates would be starting to wonder
