Dustin Martin

Two brownlow medallists in the same team, both at their first club.

Someone give Francis Jackson a call and see if he'll come back.

Players are trained to pin the arms to help their chances of illegal disposal. It's great tackling technique from a competitive perspective but can definitely be dangerous. High risk approach which didn't come off this time

If the guy getting tackled has his arms beside him at the time then when you tackle him both arms are going to be pinned. You don't stand there in the split second and decide not to tackle someone in this scenario. Players are now masters at getting their arms up as they are being tackle so of course as a tackler your main goal is to try and pin their arms so that they can't do this. Pinning two arms when tackling happens all the time. It's not a high risk approach, it's the norm when you tackle to rap your arms around their body, how else can you consistently successfully tackle and impede someone?

Anyone ever won a Brownlow and then done the off to a new club straight away?

Could be one of those years. The winner of the Brownlow is ineligible and the pseudo winner uses this opportunity to screw his club and move to another.

Players have been warned that pinning arms and slamming their opponents into the ground causing a head injury will "not be acceptable"
End of story imo. Imagine if it was a Tigers player that was injured

Its all about the money with Dustin going by the Talking footy crew. His Dad not happy with our last low ball contract and he will go where the money is the best on offer!

He gone. Can't see him re signing this late. If he wanted to stayhe would have signed by now

Yep. All about the $$ and I have no doubt there will be a rival club offer him more than the $1m pa we have if they haven't already.

Problem with that theory TS is the last contract wasnt the low ball one. His current contract is around $650k. The low ball was the one before that. But anyway....

It was Tom Brown reporting. He said a club told him they offered $900k-$1m and Carr told them $1.2m-1.3m will get the job done.

If he really wants to stay and taste success with Richmond he will take our best offer which hopefully will enable us to recruit another top line player. If he is trying to jack our offer up he is total money minded. Looking ominous!

Yeah, the misinformed media keep going on about the last renewal where we dropped our price and Dusty had a tour of GWS. It wasn't. The last one done was very quiet and first most people knew about it was the announcement he had re-signed.

I just hope the club doesn't get sucked in my Carr's blackmail technique

Yep, maybe there are no other offers so Raplhy is stirring the pot via these media puppets who think they are getting a scoop but are in reality are getting played :)

1.2/ 1.3m do we match or do we let him walk.

I sense I little bit Damir Dokic with Martin senior.

The Merkin is up to his old tricks again. It's a game of poker.

Hate the slime ball. Isn't afraid to put his own balls on the line for his client. Going along to the North Melbourne game in Tassie is a pathetic attempt to be seen and generate more speculation.

He's embarrassing himself and doesn't realise his damaging his own brand.

To be honest I believe there are no offers on the table from any other club that we can't match but he's trying everything to create an over inflated market.

I still don't think there would be a club willing to part with 1.3-1.5 mil on Dusty. Some would still see him as a risk like it or not.
