Isn't it his manager wanting to drag it out ?

Yep, that Ralph Carr idiot thinks he is the big manager to the stars....and he'll draw it out, and almost stuff it for everyone like he did the first time....
Hopefully, Dusty is a bit wiser this time around.....

hey Ralph, we have an exceptional offer (or lets get it to $1.1 - 6 years and lets do it) with Richmond, I'm not playing at the Swans, North nor Essendon for a few extra peanuts. - A mature Dusty would say!

Dusty would move to Sydney because it cuts 30 mins off the flight time to NZ? Um......

Thought the same thing myself. Not sure that's huge incentive :headscratch

6 years at a million for a champion player at the moment is a monumental risk for someone like Dusty. Let's be honest he is potential time bomb off the field and with his obvious lack of pace the game could pass him by very quickly in a couple of years. And what happens when he accepts his dad will be stuck in NZ forever. I reckon the way he has milked us dry we are the loser either way unless we fluke a flag in next couple of years

Not disagreeing but I think he can (injury dependent) play until early - mid thirties as a medium forward when he does slow down in the middle, his skill set in the forward line doesn't require exceptional pace.

That's only important if he's swimming there: 24 min difference to Auckland in the north. If he's south we'll be closer.

Sorry, you are wrong, if he is swimming there the difference is way more than 24 minutes

He's already set. Not looking at what he's already earnt, there's $6mill on the table. That's multiple times what most will make in a lifetime. Should be no need to squabble over money. Dusty needs to decide whether he wants to fight risking head and skin as a one club player or go chasing the softer option. I'd be disappointed from here if he goes chasing. But it is what it is, the club is always greater than the individual.

Dusty needs to do what's right for him. Pretty easy really.

Interesting that "apparently" putting contracts talks on hold until end of the season but Richmond keeps making higher offers? Think they will agree on terms and hold off until the end of season

I have a feeling he will go.

I reckon another club will stump up well in excess of $1 million per year. Its all about the $.

I love Dusty but 1 million over 6 years + he will earn more through sponsorships is a good offer, we cant compromise the whole list for one player even though he is our best player, in saying that I still believe he will not leave the club at the end of the year.

Hopefully it is a done deal and the club is keeping it quiet, and will then come out with the big announcement on the eve of our finals appearance. ;D

Or he has already in principle agreed to sign elsewhere & therefore knocking back our offers

Shin. It's shin. Skin is wrong.

A bit like "Richmond Tigers". We're Richmond Football Club or The Tigers.

The original Fable singers version says 'skin'. Apparently very early versions sang 'shin' then later versions corrected and sang 'shin'. The good news is a person with a lisp sings 'shkin'. I especially liked the 'Save our Shins' campaign.
