What right to we have to pre judge
Thought we were on PRE therefore we have a right to pre everything.

Would think that if anyone wanted to check the already established history of Dayle, Dusty n the Merkinator then pre judgement is not an issue. The issue is simply a need to improve from an already established shaky base, to one that complies with the intense media scrutiny of AFL.

I'd take him in a heartbeat, just what we need up forward.

Go get him Tiges!!

It was tweeted that we, Brisbane and Sydney are the 3 clubs into DG and that talk of him going early is wrong and he,ll go 3rd round.

If it turns out that the Matty White pick is used to secure Garlett then it will be a massive win for the RFC, Dayle's form at Swan Districts has been a cut above WAFL level. 40 goal midfielders don't grow on trees, let's just hope the draft gods are smiling.

That can't happen. Too good to be true.

Third round risk for first round talent.

Take that.

Would Brisbane use their 2nd or 3rd on him?

We would have to use our 2nd imo. Unless we trade into a pick before Brisbanes 3rd.

Worried about his attitude still. Him and Dusty could potentially be a disaster.

Garlett is surely on talent alone a first round draft pick. From all reports he is fully focused on his football and football only. His has said that he wants to get out of WA and play in Victoria. He has played senior football in the WAFL where he kicked 46 goals and averaged 16 posessions a game. He would be ready to go from Round 1.

I would be staggered if he made it to the third round and would be doing cartwheels if we got him then.

If we get an end of 2nd rounder for white then i would definitely pull the trigger on one of our 2nd round pics on garlett, that article on the AFL website was a good read, dayle seems to have his head right after a year of soul searching and has had a very good year kicking 48 goals....

High risk therefore 3rd rounder at best. Could be another Troy Taylor where we picked up a possible first round talent I think in the 3rd round. It was a gamble I thought worth taking at the time but didn't pay off.

We have had a poor record doing this in the past. Will this time be any different?

Aside from his publicised " growing pains " I struggle to comprehend why so many suddenly believe Garlett will be a second or third round choice.

On raw ability he was rated as a top ten pick in a perceived strong draft for last year, he was bypassed for teenage behavioural problems.

This years draft has " experts " declaring it as shallow yet, people seem to have virtually wiped his playing cred.

Garlett has played a full season of WAFL footy against adult players not kids, kicked about 40 goals n led his clubs voting in the Sandover, he'd be ready to simply plug and play after an AFL pre season. Yet now people seem to believe he's not worthy of even a late first round selection.

Perhaps there's just as talented youngsters within the first ten or twelve choices but surely this kids still easily good enough for a late first round or early second pick at worst.

Growing pains aside obviously.

Provides outside run as a mid. Can kick goals and apply pressure as a small fwd. fills 2 needs for us. I would be happy if we used our second round pick on him. Reward could be MASSIVE

Would have to be considered if still available for our 2nd rounder.

Third rounder - snap him up.
