David Astbury, Thank You

Yeah amazing opinions here. Was excellent particularly in the 2nd half with the ball coming forward without any pressure time and time again. Was extremely solid. Has earned his spot

By far our best defender on the night. Outstanding game both defensively and with the ball. I had him in or near the votes.

Like big Benjamin his showing there's a bit too work with...not sure his going to be the rock we need in Gibraltar but hey his not too bad considering

Was a fan of Assa in his first season. That flaming knee injury certainly made a mess of his next couple of years n I thought he was pretty much gone watching his couple of games late last year.
Kid was pretty good against Mould Coast but I reckon he ramped it up big time last night. No Tross, Grub just back n under done, n Chaplin stinkin it up big time. Thought Assa was easily among our best players n certainly best defender.

Bringing a big smile to the dial watching the way both Assa and the Griffinator have stepped up and contributed during the practice matches and first couple of rounds.

Just re-watched the game. He was outstanding.

If DA and Griffo can continue to grow it's huge for us. Continuity for both required.

Yeh, arguably our 2 best KP players this year. No one would have predicted that last Sep. Their continual improvement is one key to us becoming a genuine contender.

Thought he was B.O.G. Big call but we were under siege for a good 50 minutes and he constantly held down the defence.

Was only beaten one on one when the delivery was too good.

The one player that has definately improved. Griff showing good signs also. Shame about the 10 that have gone backwards.

Astbury got beaten in almost every contest, he was behind his man in almost every contest, I honestly feel he is not fast enough to be a modern defender.

You can't stop the impossible, in the air he was strong and his decision making was excellent.
He is turning into a very nice, clean footballer

what drugs are people on in here?

best game for the club. owned waite in the first half, looked every inch a commandeing full back.

carlton's free midfield ball didn't help dave's cause in the second half, but he broke even.

only blemish was his kicking which was strangely up and under. normally a great kick.

a huge plus tonight!
This, this and this^^^

Definitely disagree, thought it was his best game for the club. Can't do anything about the couple of marks Waite got towards the end when Carlton was streaming into the forward line.

Thought Dave was outstanding in the first half. Does lack a yard of pace, but gets to the right areas, reads the play well.
