David Astbury, Thank You

Amazing.

I worried about the interaction with Caddy after he gave away a stupid free. Should I?

I thought it was good from Dave, it tells me that our backline have very high standards & don't like things being "stuffed up".

What he said wasn't derogatory it was basically " your smarter than that"

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

Could not believe the club put out an article on Dave's good run without injury! Talking about putting the moz on someone. Hope his ankle isn't too bad!

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

We really lost our shape in the backline whilst he was off last night. Hopefully he's ankle isn't too bad. Great to see he come back on, thought he was done for the night the way he went off.

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

Is he the easiest big bloke in the game to out mark in one on one?
Blessing in disguise if he misses next week, time to give Carthwaite a game.

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

Taken 14 contested marks so far (3rd best for the tigers)
Rance 19
Jack R 21

J Darling WCE no1 with 31

Thought he was done for the year.

Daves form has dropped off recently.

Really? I think he has been in excellent form.

Same. He's a really important cog in our back half and it showed when he went off last night. People saying if he doesn't come up for next week then Garthwaite to come in. That's fine, I like the way he goes about it but that kicking action up in the Big boy league could come a cropper. Just to much time to get ball on to boot.

CLose to the stupidest thing I ve read all year , takes 5-6 marks a game mainly contested rather than standing on his own on the wing unmarked . Garth should replace broad who is battling

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

A good game from him, composed all night. I have the feeling he got his fine for defending Rance at the throat chop incident. Surprised our captain wasn't fined too.

Re: David "Dave" Astbury

Possibly the most assured game I have seen Dave play. Confidence sky high, good hands and was adventurous at times. Owned Dud Walker.
Looking forward to Dave reaching his 100 next week

I'm surprised he hasnt got more credit on here. I loved that tackle on Walker. Astbury is one of the strongest players in the league, both on the ground and at the bar.

Well deserved milestone for next week.

I think everyone loved that. Almost got a vote purely for dumping him over the boundary.
