David Astbury, Thank You

kinda surprised me and FUD seem to be only ones annoyed by this.

put it this way, he'd want to be on petrol and beer money base plus performance clauses.

This club is done. They have officially lost the plot. 3 years for this hack but we let matt white walk. ::)

Yeah because Matt White has been brilliant at Port.

Regardless, Dave's manager has done very well to net him 3 years given his injury history.

At least underwood played in 2 great wins. Against Collingwood at the G and he was BOG against Essendon at windy Hill

Hmmm, KB said Underwood was a future captain at the club when he was coach.

x2

Bloody shame we have no-one else to get in there and take his spot!

Poor list management resulting in Dave getting two years... *facepalm*

He carried 4 kegs. 1 each on his legs and 1 each on his arms. By qtr time he was rooted.
A body builder playing football
Remember Ian Hernan what a gun from carlton

Anyone see his ball use on the weekend? Dimma no doubt loves him. Surprised he didn't get 5 years.

Delist quality. Earns 3 years. I'm surprised not more players don't come to us.
Why play for 3 years, when Richmond can turn them into 9

A three-year contract extension suggests RFC see a future for Astbury.
I am yet to be convinced that a premiership-winning backline can be built with Astbury in the line-up. Three years is a pretty decent extension for a player who hasn't really done a great deal. Let's hope it is a beer money and meat tray deal as others have suggested.

He's a quality bloke who provides stability (unfortunately not in our backline, he does bugger all there)

Such a sh!t footballer. So many limitations.

Whoever he was on killed him, the reject from Sydney ripped him apart and then he couldn't keep up with a 30 year old with no knees.
He is useless.
God help us another 3 years.
I've wouldve delisted him.

I missed the wires on his contract extension.

The worst contract extension ever. Why three years? Haven't heard one other club linked to him.

Football department must go.

A highlight of the night for mine in Rance's absence. Had him in the best handful.
move the ball with a bit more purpose than last year and unbeaten in the air.

Treated Walker with disdain. Olds.

Encouraging game.

Stark contrast to the posts that have gone before! If you're right, will embarrass a few posters on here.

When you think of what the guy has been through with his body, might just be getting his mojo back. Deserves a change of luck.

He definitely deserves a change of luck.

Was with another PREnder who commented that there was no stop and prop..dart the eyes..look sideways..backwards action from Dave tonight.
That said it was a practice match. The pressure valve will go up considerably in a few weeks.

However yes it was encouraging as Jack said..
