i was thinking the sea creature?

no matter how slow astbury is, is he more slow than chappy? no way ...

its not just running speed

also general AGILITY, the ability to move sideways etc.

chappy is like a 70 year old man

He was in the 27 man squad training prior to the North game

The 27 were the team v North & lennon lloyd morris hampson and Astbury

Yep, last year against Melbourne.
Safe to say he was one of our best early on.

Sine then he hasn't got the leg speed, not that he was overly fast but he was quicker then now.
 
I'd keep him and get him to work on agility over preseason. He's shown that he can play. Just needs his body right and primed for the position the coaches want him to play.
 
Astbury is not slow. Was smashing all key defenders last year before injury. plays tight and reads the ball well.

That is my recollection of his form in 2014 too. I think he lost confidence, because the only key fwd to really beat him in that patch was a 33 year old Jonathon Brown, who probably had more tricks in the bag with experience. otherwise Dave didn't look like losing a one on one.

That was in 2014. He's had another serious injury since then. What I saw of Dave this year was an absolute shadow of 2014, a slow shadow at that.

Witts is slower than sales of Dannii Minogue records at a Hells Angels swap meet.
 
Jarrod Witts is so slow that the distributors of Internet Explorer have challenged him to a race. They are going to give him a 23% complete head start.
