David Astbury, Thank You

Or trade griffiths

Beginning to think this as well DDT. Particularly with how well Lids is playing, Lennon capable as a 3rd tall and with McBean and McKenzie waiting in the wings.

It'll be interesting. The club could either:
A: Keep both
B: Trade Ben as he has more currency
C: Delist or trade for bugger all Astbury.

Only a fool would trade Griffo.

Yep. Trade Astbury and train up Griffo as the swingman we seem to be trying to forge out of the former.

Richmond are intent on recycling Dave from a strong defensive man when on song to a mediocre forward at anytime. For me I would have thought it would have been better to sort out his troubles as a defender and then we do have a replacement for the aging but still serviceable Chappy. Elton is not the answer yet whereas Dave has already proved himself. From other games I have watched this season there is little talent that will be available at draft time. We should persevere and hope Dave returns to form and stays injury free. Sadly at the moment he is another Chris Knights, injury prone talent

Great problems to have.....
Benny sounds great on paper but yet to explode.
Question is will it ever happen?

If Dave can recapture his form he's an A Grade defender who can swing forward. Let's give him a chance to see if he can get back to his best.

Finally some sensible coments about Dave ,talk of trading him is crazy it would leave us extremely vulnerable to cover injury to Rance or a ageing Chaplin .Squads win flags not teams of 22 .

No doubt we need atleast one honest KP swingman outside the 22 who can come in an do a job when needed. Astbury has played 17 games in the past 3 seasons and Griffiths has played 29, that's a lot of missed games thru injury and form between the 2, this is where list management must be tough, I'd be happy for both to stay on the list next year but I'd strongly consider a trade for a needs based player. Hopefully both players can get there bodies right
