David Astbury, Thank You

I think you may be under value Dave Astbury's value here,I would say depending on the team that wants him he could be as high as early 2nd rounder

Can't see it. He's been around a while and hasn't cemented a spot. If he was 21-22 maybe, but he'll be 25 by the time he plays next year.

Would you give up a second rounder for Tayte Pears? He's 25 (Will be 26 next year)

Big men take time, we have put in 7 or so years into him so i would think by virtue (he is what 24-25) he is more valuable then when he was drafted after providing glimpse's of his ability and depending on injury still having his best 5-7 years ahead of him...

Depending on trading teams needs depends on how they value him... Like the old adage, whats my house worth $$$? what someones prepared to pay essentially..

For me i like Dave but we have young Elton developing, if we could use Dave in a trade that gets us a NEED id be all for it... I don't think he is surplus though so as some have suggest a Mitch Brown type in VFL would be needed for depth in this area going forward.

no chance of that. Would be lucky to get picked up even if we delisted him. Was slow beforehand but injuries have slowed him further.

I think unless Dave wants out he stays. Too many earmarked for departure before Dave: Newman, Thomas, Knights, Arnott, Petterd......

Add Dea, Foley.. Yep there's a cleanout coming but if the right trade comes along and Dave is looking for opportunities elsewhere we'll definitely look at it.

If a team out there wants him desperately gives us what we want
Hes tradeable otherwise he stays for one more year

Tigers should not delist Astbury, Dea, Petterd & Knights as they add depth with their experience when ranks are thin through injuries etc etc.

With Big Ben down for the rest of the season I think it's up to dave to stand up and provide the 3rd pillar of the 3 prong tall forward attack.

Arnot and Thomas are both rookies, though. The extension of Elton signals that Dave may be considered surplus to needs and is tradeable.

Not this year i dont think Dear Toots, with a crap draft im tipping the Tigers to turn over the bare few with a few 1 year extensions given out.

Next year will likely be the big clean out.

Dea Arnot, Newman, Thomas are the first 4 out the door with Foley and Petterd looking very vulnerable due to the nature of their injuries and Gordon should be out the door too along with Lloyd and or McDonough but i think one maybe two of them might get one more year. Throw in a trade possibly even 2 and that'll be about it.

Knights is another question does he get 1 year at reduced $ if he can see this season out on the field, is he a possible mature rookie candidate which i think that would be a tangible proposition.

Wont want to be cutting the list deep this year reckon they'll save it for a stronger draft this year very much akin to the Lennon Gordon Lloyd draft.

He should be as he's produced little in his time at Tigerland for genuine reasons.
Looks very slow in the VFL and is a list clogged now

Straight swap for aish (who had dropped off this year) might be good. We'd be getting a bargain, but the Lions need big men.

Didn't play yesterday anyone know why ?
Talk of using Dave as a trade is crazy .We are very thin in the key back position if we get a injury to Rance or Chaplin we need him big time .
If we trade Dave that leaves us with Elton as our only backup key defender crazy stuff .Griffith might have to play back again .

Dud delist

I think I'd send griff to the backline so Bean can play forward. Griff gets more involved when he gets led to the ball too.
