If they don't want to be on the quest for the next Tiger premiership then Adios, Auf Wiedersehen, Sayonara
You missed *smile* off TigerPort, nothing else quite matches the thought process.
Don't know what all the angst n meedjia hype is all about. Grigga was a Moggies assistant coach n Tross was long gone from the club n bumming around somewhere in QLD so he hardly poached them off us.
All he's done is grab a couple of his office boys to help out with some paper work n stats, hardly worth getting all bent out of shape over.

I reckon Dimma is quietly shitting himself at the prospect of losing to us. Lots of false bravado coming from their camp.

Being the now Harvard educated and well heeled individual that he has become he would call it Firenze.

Tiger dell, whilst you may not feel that way, you can't tell other how they feel.
There's a LOT of Tigers fans who dislike the way Dimma left the club. A lot disbelieve the GC was not a set up - including Stuart Dew who won't speak to Dimma right now. They do feel cheated.

The push to keep the list in the Premiership window was to capitalise on him and the elder/senior core. He jumped ship the second it got hard. Maybe it'll work out for us in the long run, I believe everything happens for a reason. I really couldn't give a *smile* about Dimma now. It's all about the Ooze.

You take what you want out of it. Others feel different. Just walk on by.
Understand others feel different.
In my opinion some of its disingenuous and hypocritical, either because posters are moralistic or putting unrealistic expectations on football staff.
He's a coach, we're fans. One is a professional situation, the other is pure emotion.

We have different views, fine.
But plenty of potshots at Dimma. Even in your post you claim he jumped ship when it got too hard.
What about 2016? Or the first 10 rounds of 2010?
Or the excessively long hours he worked for 14 years?
Its a cheapshot.
Yeah he left us. He put in when he was with us though.

I sound like an apologist, or defending someone. I'd rather move on as I'm excited to see Yze coach this year

Our triple Premiership coach will be up against us in the opening round (geez that's a shiit idea) in a few weeks so there's a bit of interest there much as I hate the blatant manipulation from the AFL.

Whatever your personal thoughts on Dimma, our lads have a bit of added impetuous to win given he quit on them, despite his personal reasons for doing so.
Whether that ammunition is enough to help us win is another matter but no doubt we'll be giving it a good shot even if it's just the opening ten minutes.

A number of our players will definitely be keen to prove themselves against their former coaches new toys..

Stop the slagging of the bloke that gave us our lives back.
Who gives a *smile* he has gone to Gold Coast.
Who gives a *smile* he said he was burnt out.
Who gives a *smile* he broke up with his misses.
Who gives a *smile* who has joined him.

3 of the happiest days in my life are on the back of this bloke.
I will never bag him.

Dimma right now isnt wearing a Richmond polo so I couldnt give a stuff if he wins or loses up there. But we should never underestimate what he did to turn our club around.

But it shows how far we have to go in terms of coming to terms with coaches moving from club to club.

Imagine the outcry when a player is traded mid season.
Imagine our September specialist(Dusty)being traded to Carlton mid year(If we're out of contention).
(Which begs the question.Could he be traded back to us in Oct same year?)

probably, but then the question will be how long would his preseason be interrupted, as he would have to go through an extensive decontamination process

Not bagging Dimma. He'll always have a huge place in Richmond history (ala on T. Hafey),

BUT

He's now on another team and fair game

Seems am in a dwindling group, but still don't have a bad thing come to mind when think about Dimma.

He gave 14 years. Longest in our history. He can't stay forever - it was time.

Good on him up there. Hope he does well - Just not against us.

He's an amazing coach so odds on to succeed.

I too will always appreciate the joy Dimma has given my family, some of the greatest moments of my life.

Just wish he had pulled the pin at the end of 22, that way we could have adam Kingsley, also it is a bit suss him approving giving out 7 yr contracts to players and then jumping ship 6 months later, I mean imagine how they must feel.

But, in the end, I understand it, Benny opened the door for him to leave by not re-signing him, he walked out the door because as most divorced men in Australia know, he lost 60-70% of his assets, and no one was going to give him more money and more security than gold coast, I think he is on a 7 yr deal, worth what $10m. Living a nice new lifestyle with his new mrs, Not bad, good luck to him, he has earned it.
