Damien Hardwick

Only question is does he want to be a senior coach again? I don’t think he does.
I've got a million reasons a year to suggest he will.

Starting a new life, a new family and with 20 years of hard slog in his ex's bank account now he'll coach again.

Thanks Dimma for making us fans proud of this great club. Saturday 30-Sep-2017 is the sporting highlight of my life.
Yep how good was it.

Then the feeling of invincibility after 2019!!

Then the Bliss of Beating up on the AFL love child Salty Sooks in 20 the hardest won flag ever in the history of the AFL.

Best.

McCrae is now getting so much more out of the Collingwood group
than the sum of their parts, as Dimma was able to with the Tigers.

For the Tiges to have an edge going forward they will need to find someone who has a vision for where the game is going, and how it could be played to win moving forward.

And just being an assistant coach of a currently successful team should not in and of itself be enough; the Tiges need someone with the ability to empathise with players and to inspire them, which would rule out the likes of Figgy.

And where this new vision would leave the current playing list is anyone’s guess.

Speed and skill is what’s needed today, which the current Tigers list appears to be in short supply of.

The thought of a complete rebuild makes me feel sick, but apart from Baker, Rioli, Gibcus, Tarranto, Hopper & Cumberland who could we say will be around for the next premiership tilt?

(Not speculating on the other new recruits as I have no idea whether they will make it or not)*
Grigga is one of the smartest campaigners going around.

Would it be too soon though?

If he doesnt come to RFC I reckon he might be the next Carlton Coach if Crazy Vossy loses the board.

Maybe somewhat premature but Id love to see a RFC coaching panel with Grigg and Lambo in it.

Smart smart smart football students and players.

Richmond men and know the club ethos they helped build it.

Forever great full took us from a basket case to 3 flags and rebuild our side and club.

I want Leppa rated highly and doing a top job at the pies with McRae.

Have a listen to Cornehole on Footy Classified. Even bagging us out with this Dimma bombshell. Flog of the highest order.

A few clubs will be desperate to get him. WC and Carlton the obvious ones. Suns I suppose if they have any desperation, they may not need to be if he want a Goldy life. Port and Essendon both don't have a clear run, but some factions at both clubs would want to have a tilt. Maybe the Lions if Fagan turns sour and Dimma wants to go north. Sydney and Freo if they miss finals could both have a crack.

Bahamas for the rest of the year. Then if he wants to saddle up again next year, the internal and external club politics to get Dimma will be furious.

Grigga is highly rated by PRE alumni who seem to know their stuff, but for me personally I would be concerned about his amount of experience.

If the powers that be thought that he was a coaching wunderkind in the making they could surround him with some experienced heads to help; however it would be a monumental call to make.

For me I would try to find someone that is capable of getting the most out of the current list (similarly to McCrae), as I’m not sure I have the stomach for a scorched earth rebuild.

Thank F for 17, 19 & 20.

Yep, it was awesome, while always hopeful, I doubted I'd ever see us win another premiership in my lifetime.

Sorry, call me dumb but I am confused with this Dimma/Hinkley talk. Even Cornhead says we should call Hinkley now to become coach. Why????

He's doing well at Port.

Being smart is not enough to make it as a senior coach. You need leadership and people skills.
