Who knew it was the senior coaches job to teach players how to kick? I thought they learned that coming up through juniors. You don't teach senior players to kick. They either can or they can't when you draft them, and for the vast majority, that's how it stays.
Why are we paying millions for coaches then. We have coaches for every line, development coaches etc but none are responsible for improving the players skills. Really?

We shouldn’t be recruiting players who aren’t skilled in the first place, but when we do surely there’s enough coaches to work on improving them. I’m unable to get to training but I’m guessing the drills are game style and skills specific, surely. If not, what are they training them to do?

Agree preseason was a mess looked unfit and behind the ball park. Didn't understand why he was in the US when preseason started had all that time off. I said it before our fitness and injury rehabilitation is ordinary took short cuts there.
Our problems are deeper than fitness , structural flaws in F50 mean we can’t kick a score despite being able to defend resolutely, only one team has kicked a ton v us

Apparently he’s quitting. May have coached his last game already. Citing burnout. Announcement expected tomorrow.

Gameplan. Strategy. Skill work is part of it, but players generally are what they are with their basic skills by the time they get to the AFL. Especially for a kid that's being playing football their whole lives, how much basic skill improvement is left in them? Most improvement will come from developing their bodies, learning the game more and becoming more experienced. How many players go from being crap kicks to being great kicks?

Bloody hell. I was only thinking yesterday that when we get on the coaching merry go round it’s the final sign the era is done.

From MAGA Morris, but still... such a big call, hard to believe it wouldn't be true. Oh well, you all got your wish.

Awkward interview with Broady on On The Couch. Looked like there was a big elephant in the room everyone was ignoring. Broady looked very down.
