Damien Hardwick

Best coach we have had I reckon.
He built us up from a club that was compared to Fitzroy to an unstoppable machine.
Very sad and devastated

“Reputable sources at SEN ?”

What reputable sources at SEN ?

Anyway, said 6 weeks ago something wasn’t right. Won’t be surprised.

I wouldnt underestimate that Dimma has fallen out of love with the game, and to be honest I wouldnt be surprised if the treatment dished out to his great mate Clarkson also boiled his *smile*.

The AFL could well have lost its 2 most successful coaches of the past 15 years within two weeks.

I dont see Dimma returning to coach anywhere if he's lost the hunger and has pulled the pin.

The losses last year and this year have killed him.

Theyve almost put me in a looney bin this season and last thats for sure.

Dimma The Legend and will always be Tiger Royaltu and revered for what he acheived.

Sad News.

There will be knock ons from this regarding the playing group and other positions.
If it’s true, and this stage only SEN have reported it, then like you, Craig, I can’t see him coaching elsewhere at least in the short term. Hopefully he hangs around until the end of the season, because I don’t think any of his assistants can do the job even if temporarily. It may also mean a few other veterans pull the pin early on their careers.

Will be an immortal of the Club and a legend of the AFL , blessed to have had Dimma as our coach .

Not sure why , however I’m not shocked and not shattered , Dimma got 100% out of the 22 that took the field , and once a minute attention to detail is missed or a we tad of passion has gone we suffer greatly. I think we need a refresh not that it needed to be Dimma , however it is what it is and who knows this may just be the start of the next Dynasty

Mixed emotions about this. Will be forever grateful for everything he has given us but can't help but think this is a real $hitty way to go out after being the longest running coach of the Tiges. Jumping ship mid season when we are up against it. Don't like it.
Should have made the succession plan in 2021 with Fly to take over this year or next.

Sounds like he's doing it tough right now, he needs time away from the game IMO. Hope he takes all the time he needs - we are a strong club now, we'll get through this.

Tassie I reckon would be the only team he might return to coach.

But he's been all things Richmond since 2010 he was all in lock stock and changed the club around then made it one of a few elite sides in history that claim 3 or more flags in one era.

Maybe he's just had enough, life is tough enough these last few years and the hot seat of AFL coaching has never been hotter.

Whatever happens be it true or not he will always be the man who led the revival of the RFC and took it to a DIMMASTY.!!

What a ride.

Thanks Dimma :clap2:cupgold:cupgold:cupgold

Not even too upset. Think he lost the players with his off-field antics a while ago. Only disappointed that we have no first round pick seemingly heading into a rebuild / re-tune
