Damien Hardwick

The Cotchin fwd experiment over Cumberland was a mistake & probably cost us a result or two. This was clearly Dimma’s vision over the summer months but Cotch missing a sitter in front whilst Cumberland had 8 tackles was symptomatic of the error of judgement tbh.
People will say what they want about this but they trained this for much of the preseason so it was definitely the plan. I reckon Cumberland is really looking to prove a point & is.

Did cotchin actually play in F50 r1 , I agree cumbo not playing quite possibly cost us victory given how hard goals were to come by and he seems to find a way , he’s scored a G every times he’s played exception of sub v coll

It doesn’t really matter how much he did or didn’t. It was wrong big time to leave Cumberland out in the cold.

Haaarrrgh. Actually CCR was a bloody quality band and right in my old fart age range. Sabbath, Purple, early Alice, Zepp, Bowie, Reed, Bolan, Waits, Joplin, Cocker, Stones, Lindisfarne, Slade, and many others way back when. Happy to mix things around a bit.
You forgot Tull

Yep, sometimes the old fart can be thick as. Them n Dylan n Muddy, Little Richard, Bo, Fats, Buddy ( not the Flanklin ) then later some Gunners, Nirvana, Tallica, Rammstein. The list could go on n on Moody Blues, Burdon, Cave, some Chisel, Angels, Kelly, Loved Ones, Santana, did I forget the Floyd as well?????

I know Dimma loves his music but if you want to discuss bands go here please.

Dimma gets as much time as he needs to work something out in my book, but this current gameplan is impossible to watch which I haven't said for a long time.

I'm a football simpleton and would say our 2017-20 gameplan was something like
1. Run hard in defence
2. Run even harder in attack
3. Get it long when unsure
4. Swarm the opposition ball carrier & apply manic pressure
2023 seems to be
1. Hit 9m kicks sideways (especially in defence)
2. Handball 3m sideways and backwards
3. If you have successfully handballed out of congestion keep handballing until we are under pressure again until you cough it up or get done HTB.
4. If you mark the ball at the top of our 50m wait and either:
a. Encourage the opposition to clog up the space and bomb it
OR
b. Try a shallow 9m sideways kick
5. Do not change this game plan, even in the wet.
We've turned up for 1 quarter VS Carl, WB, Syd, COL & 2 Quarters VS ADEL

6/20 quarters for the season. No wonder I’m having no fun watching us.

We have won this season, 5 rounds in only 7 quarters out of 20 , which is equal last.

Yes equal last.

Can’t remember which other team with Melb, who have won 14 quarters out of 20.

Could get quite ugly against Melb if Dimma is going to trot out the game plan , so far this year.

We are dishing out unwatchable football with horrendous skills by hand & foot.

Make matters worse.

There is hardly no intensity or passion by most of the players.

We will find out much more by seasons end because the knives are getting sharpened by many in the media who are revelling in our demise, thus far, 5 rounds in.

The game plan we have been using in the 1st quarters is horrendous hand ball happy paticularly out of defence.

Ugly and frustrating to watch, reminds me of Hardwicks disasterous 2016 game plan.

I thought ugly bame plans were a thing of the past but here we are again.

Probably chatted to some NFL guru over in USA who filled his head with stats, now he is living it out - have to make the trip worthwhile!

Or potentially there are too many opinions and ideas in the coaches box (3 coaches with senior experience) resulting in the players getting mixed signals - but this doesnt excuse the kicking issue - hit the target !!
