The down side of all these withdrawals is they'll cry injuries when we cream their creamy white arses!
Maybe so,but we will never reverse last year's result.

Just as theirs didn't reverse all the years that went before that.

Poms do have some good depth now
Cook will replace Vaughan at No 3

You think so? Keep going, where is the rest of the depth? I don't see it.

And while Cook looks good he is still a kid - an Ashes tour will be the biggest challenge he's faced by far.

I can't find a Pom to take a bet on the series at the moment. Hopefully as it draws near some level of blind faith will take hold.

Not sure what your point is in regards to my original comment, MB?

Re: Cricket

Cook 102*

He may well be Bunnerz.......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................but I doubt!

Re: Cricket

Saw may mate Afridi make a brief 15.Hit a nice 6 & 2 balls later tried to repeat the shot & the ball had height but no distance. Was shattering to see him dismissed against the Indian spinner who plays for England.

English captain Michael Vaughan has been officially ruled out of the upcoming Ashes series due to his troublesome knee injury continuing to plague him.
Big blow for the Poms and great news for Australia.

don't agree its great news. I want to beat their best side. I bought tickets to see a hard fought test like they used to be. I'm spewing Vaughn is out, and I rally hope Flintoff makes it back, which I think he will.

The problem mk,the ball before he went out he blocked. He then lost his momentum & rythm.

His not a batsman a like sorry mb as I like a pure batsman like Mark Waugh, but like him in pygama cricket as he is as good as slogger going around but suffers from too many brain fades.

True, but I still love watching him.

Re: Cricket

Afridi is technically a good batsman, copy book stance and the like, a brilliant eye, but lacks a little patience to wait for the ball to hit.

Re: Cricket

Great News
Looks like we may not have Dean Jones on our tellies any more

Re: Cricket

agreed. I was watching the P*ms destroy Pakistan last night and it was refreshing to hear the English broadcasting style. If only Ch 9 would copy it.

Re: Cricket

go england, i like $6.50 to draw the ashes series.

go MONTY GO.

born in england mate, there is a couple of non aussies is austrlaias team if you want to say monty is an indian

Re: Cricket

the good news is Monty will take the wheely bins place in the ashes team. the bad news is he can bowl. the ball that bowled Younis Khan last night was the 2nd best ball I've ever seen - behind Warneys ball of the century.

Re: Cricket

Yeah i watched it for a fair bit last night wanted the pakistanies 2 beat em, monty that guy is goin pretty bloody good.
