This is the worst test batting line up we have had for 20 years or so, maybe longer

Khawaja is our best player atm. Smith is now a good test player, not a great one. Head and Labuschagne are playing very poorly, Marsh doing well as a number 6 and an unproven number 4 in Green.

Cupboard looks pretty bare for the moment ,although Bancroft has made a lot of runs for a while now. Such a shame what has happened to Pucovski, we need him.

Heads last dozen test scores : 1, 4, 43, 40, 14, 17, 0, 10, 119, 0, 0, 1 (249) @ 20. Take out the ton and it’s 130 @ 11!
That b looking fairly ugly. There's probably one or two batsmen in the team over the last year or two that have been fairly consistent and luckily for us there's been a handful of others that have managed to share chipping in with a fortunate big score at exactly the right moment to save us from being bloody abysmal.
Been very little solid consistency from our top n middle order.

Fantastic Innings from Green.

George and the selectors have a thankless task (like any selector from your local cricket club through to RFC).

But they have played Green perfectly. Brought him in despite fire from the West.

But when you have 10 x 30+ already in the team, all things equal you need to regenerate.

To pick the 24 y.o was the right call for the future.

But then more importantly - With his recent Test call up and lack of runs the selectors told him to stay home and play shield instead of the T20 series in NZ.

Green is a fringe 20 over player for us trying to make the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. This was the last hitout.

Gutsy but could be genius call having him stay home play shield and score a century a week ago against Tasmania.

Because of this you can see the extra touch he has compared to his teammates. Great innings in very difficult conditions that could be the making of him.

Gorgeous George pulls the right reign again.

Watching the shorted 2 hr clip of the days play.

- How has Matt Henry "only" have the record he has. Some of his bowling today was Dale Steyn like.
- Every run will be earned all series. Typical NZ wicket and cricket. Love it.
- Not sure why. But would LOVE to get to an Aus v Kiwi Test above near all others on Leysy's bucket list. One day. Has anyone been? Look at the food!!
- Cam Greens innings today was easily the best of any from an Australian batsman this summer. Possibly the year. Wow!

This last wicket partnership is the largest of the innings

Very entertaining, good day to be at home recovering from day surgery (y)

This innings is typical of the way Australia has batted for a while now.
Lots of ordinary batting but someone seems to step up. Has not always happened but has quite a lot.
As an aside extras are now equal next best score after Green :ROFLMAO:

Cameron Green - wow!!

What an innings.

It's Gone from very good to great today.

Might just be the making of him.

This group of selectors have the golden touch.

Australia's 6th ever 100 run last wicket stand.
Phil Hughes & Ashton Agar hold the record for the highest for Australia.

This is what I was expecting from Green in the Ashes last year, he was very disappointing, at 24 he's a still a young man though.
It's worked out for the best though, with Green failing in England it gave Marsh a chance and he took it with both hands.

Without Green and Marsh this test Aust would've been lucky to get 150.
