Their bowlers just seemed to bowl more probing areas more often

These pommy batsmen are too comfortable

Leysy's obs:

- OLG there are some negative nelly's on this thread. This won't be a cakewalk chase. And if it is, we are 2-1 after losing every toss and Lyon out for the series. We'd all take that every day of the week before the first Test.

- Said it before the first test when most wanted Boland ahead of him. Including the selectors. But Starc is undroppable. Incomparable to Boland.
Such an underrated cricketer. Bowls the odd 4 ball. But never seen anyone bowl as many unplayable deliveries as him.

- Murphy is the key to the chase. He is capable of bowling us to victory. Like to see Pat get him on early.

Showers forecast for the afternoon and for day 5. I hope it pees down if England look like winning.
It would be what they deserve. And Cook should give up his royal honours for that latest tripe he conveyed on air after no checks, no knowledge, just a grubby snipe for which he had to apologise.
The crowd are also a mean and miserable, ignorant mob of unruly, xenophobic tools. Nothing like the traditional English crowds who formerly really knew and appreciated the fine players and the game .. in the true 'spirit of the game.' Fancy booing Smith in possibly his last test there, and Carey ... for running out a dummy.

Closer to an English soccer crowd - watch them get more out of control as their warm beers soak in as the day grows longer.

Reckon Root and Stokes need to get at least half these remaining runs between them for England to win.

Well we'll soon see if your confidence in your own opinion is justified.

If we're relying on the kid, Murphy, to spin us to victory, I'd say your faith is misplaced.
The real nervous nellies were Warner, Smith, Marnus, Carey and even Marsh for not being able to choose which balls to defend and which to attack, that's meant to be what distinguishes a batsman. FFS, the latter two got out to balls they even trying to leave! (But Marsh forgiven after kept us in the game 1st innings),

I was hoping for a 400 run lead which would have guaranteed a win, if we didn't fritter the extra runs away so negatively as well.
