Cricket

Not a Warner fan but his leadership was around captaining the Thunder and possibly a VC role in ODI or T20.

That is fair enough you'd think.

I've got no time for Warner and will be happy to see the back of him when he is dropped. The decision to ban him from holding a leadership role was spot on. I would have liked to have seen him banned from ever playing for Australia again.

"Warner was found to be responsible for the development of the plan to alter the condition of the ball and instructing Bancroft on how to do it, including demonstrating the technique to him"

The campaigner orchestrated the cheating and then was too weak to do it himself so made the youngest member of the team do it which completely ruined Bancroft's promising career.

I used Gray Nicholls. I even had a 4 Scoop ! Found GN were the best balanced bats. The single scoop was revolutionary. What a bat.

But funny, I always used to reckon Duncan Fearnley’s had the best willow though. Very soft. Beautiful dead, soft feel off the bat. They were terrible around the splice though. Always breaking.

I had a Dynadrive, loved that bat. AB was my hero and I bought a Duncan Fearnley just like him but it was a terrible bat. Years later I found out the closest AB ever came to an actual Duncan Fearnley was getting their stickers in the mail.

Word to the wise, if you head to Brisbane for the Test book a standby ticket. :ROFLMAO:

Didn't mind it as a contest and a different sort of wicket but you can't have 2 day tests. I got out on the ground last night and had a look up close, it was unbelievably green and grassed. Never seen anything like it, even in local cricket in October.

Flew back with Scott Boland today, really lovely guy and treats the public with enormous respect.

Neser hat-trick. Bummer-lookers 4/9.....just as bad as their colour sake in the AFL.

Yes. One of my favourite cricketers. Used the ole Stuart Surridge bat… had to get one as a kid and pretend I was him, opening the batting !
Didn't mind the SS ones, but I wanted a County Cricket bat. :))
X2 for the SS.

My first bat was an SS. Loved it. Felt so comfortable. Once I grew out of it, spent the next few seasons with a Kookaburra then a Slazenger. Never felt quite as at home out in the middle without the SS.

Truth be known though. The most comfortable bat I ever used. I forgot my gear for a high school match once. Borrowed a mate’s bat. A home made, no logo bat crafted by his grandfather. Best bat I ever used.

Call me ignorant, but I didn't realise half of the time (and last night) the BiG Bash commentators called from a studio off a TV and aren't actually at the ground?

Yep. I’m surprised that the AFL commentators went back to being at the ground after they also commentated off screens during the pandemic. Thought the network would love the savings in flights, hotels, meals etc.
