Cricket

New Delhi is the noisiest place I've ever been. It's so loud I swear everyone has hearing damage. I went to the movies with a couple of locals and the volume was ear-splitting. I had to cover my ears, to the amusement of my new friends. And I could still hear the movie fine!

It's also the smoggiest place I've ever been. A constant haze and a sore throat after three days. It put me off going to Mumbai.

Incredible country, though. In the same breath it can infuriate, exasperate and captivate. The sheer mass of people can be overwhelming. But they are mostly lovely, especially when they find out you're Australian.
I changed my mind about going to India... I hate noise and dirty air!

Mumbai is smoggier than New Dehli, and I dont reckon as nice.
I went to the 3rd test in 2004, at Nagpur. I was in India with friends. they all went home, but i decided to extend my stay to go to the cricket and down to Goa. Nagpur was a but boring and i reckon only ever saw tourists when the cricket was on- which was rare.
Cricket was great fun- we won in 4 days to win the series, but the crowd was up and going the whole time, and in good spirits, at least where i was.
It must have been their day off and they were drinking something :ROFLMAO: What's the local drink there?

Definitely not the place for you unless you stay well away from the cities!

Kingfisher has always been the most popular commercial drop but it's a growing market, lots more craft beers and the like appearing. You have to watch them though, some can be as strong as 15% and the locally made stuff could power a tractor I reckon!

15%
That's why they watch the games in high spirits and tipsy :D

On the World Cup. Finch looks finished. But a captain won't be dropped mid-way through a Cup whilst the teams still alive.

Maybe drop him down the order. Not sure.

But the biggest issue ain't him and no-one is mentioning it. It's the bowling.

New Zealand 200+ and a poor Sri Lanka 157 are poor returns. And we are bowling poorly as well.

The one that should be dropped is Cummins. He's not a great T20 bowler, especially lately.

Economy rate of nearly 9 an over from 12 International 20 over games in 2012 at a poor average of 32.

Even worse this Cup 8 overs 1-82

You can't carry someone with those returns. And there are options.

- Straight swap for Richardson (far better death bowler)
- Bring Green in for him and open the batting with him. Drop Finch to 6,7 or 8. Don't lose a bowler.
- Keep Agar in (bowled well last night) and swap Cummins for Zampa. Probably pitch dependent, but we'd still have Starc, Hazlewood, Marsh and Stoinis bowling med fast or better and would give us great flexibility.

All better options balance and performance wise ILO.

What a tournament

Namibia beat Sri Lanka
Scotland beat the Windies
Ireland beat the Windies
Ireland beat England
And now Zimbabwe beat Pakistan :clap1

Windies already gone home, Pakistan can't afford another slip up, have to win all three remaining games v Sth Africa, Bangla and Holland. Game on!! :coffee:

A great win to Zimbabwe. That 2 games in a row that Pakistan have lost by one run, would have to be a first in T20 World Cups, probably in any format of the game.
In 2013, in 50 over cricket, South Africa beat Pakistan by 1 run. Four weeks later Pakistan returned the favour, a 1 run win to them :eyes

Anyone watching the cricket? No ball because the keeper effected the stumping after taking the ball in front of the stumps? Didn't know that was a rule, can't see why it is simply not out.
