Cricket

A bit selfish of Green to take the last wicket and rob Boland the chance of a 7 fa'

This is the time when we need LTRTR.

Has there ever been an innings victory before when you only scored 267 in your 1st innings?

How embarrassing.

Wow. Can they drop him?
Feel bad for Jhye.
It would be a travesty to drop Boland, but purely for the age demographic Richardson would be the better choice for the future. Give the younger players as many games against these B Grade Test cricketing nations as possible.

Drop Cummins, he didn't fire a shot in the second innings ;)

Ffs…somebody shoot that Howard idiot.

“The Ashes are SEEMINGLY within Australia’s grasp.”

Where do they get these morons from ???
Howie was constructed in the Triple M laboratory, from the spare parts from an SS Commodore, a Cold Chisel cassette tape, the Red Faces gong and a can of Bundy & Coke.

Fancy making 267 and winning by an innings. Boland amazing, but England pathetic.

The Poms need to bring back Burns, and bring in Extras. They are their 2nd and 3rd highest run scorers for the year.

I’m prepared to forgive Howie. Great podcast he does in the Howie games.

Scottie Boland - "How easy is this test cricket!?"
Honestly thought he looked like a trundler in the first innings, might pick up a couple of cheapies.

Not a large sample size, but in the second innings he seemed to bowl the McGrath/Stuart Clarke line & length made them play.

I would have to agree. But perfect selection for this pitch as he makes the batsman play and kept bowling in the 'channel of uncertainty' or whatever the term is.
Really tough for selectors re Sydney team if Josh and Jyhe all clear to play.

Pomthetic. I wouldn't pay 5c to go see this rubbish.
Yes I posted about how so many of the modern batsmen are not that good. Sure this was a greenish wicket that seamed more by the day and even increased in pace. However, I wonder if so much short-form cricket has led to poorer and poorer techniques so that they just can't handle challenging conditions far removed from virtually flat tracks. Few batters who can really tough it out these days. So many can't even defend their off-stump. Two bowled not playing a shot - Green in T1 and Leach T3.

I used to enjoy going to the BD test on the 3rd or 4th day, but wouldn't risk the $$ for pre-tickets these days.

It's ok and i listen to most of them, but every guest is the best ever, or each episode is the best ever. He struggles on sports he knows little about and i skip the questions from the kids as they are cringe inducing. He also has a habit of inserting himself into the story by recounting his surfing travels ad nauseum. And it is very annoying that he pointlessly splits each episode into 2.

T20 definitely has ruined Test. All obvious with the big bashing as soon as the lights came on in the 2nd test, however you'd think England would have more brains to avoid these habits.
