Coronavirus

hard to tell, but there is a lot of flack from all parts of the community with her stupidity trying to flaunt to abuse quarantine rules

should be ship right out imo

she's a professional provocateur, hopefully she loses out financially but it will just play into her narrative of being a victim/government hoaxes etc. anyway she can FRO

if Katie Hopkins was a controversial left wing commentator. would she have even been given a visa to enter Australia?

I'd honestly be just as *smile* off if Noam Chomsky was flown out to be on VIP Big Brother, during a global pandemic,

with thousands of Australians unable to get home because of arrival caps etc.

he wouldnt have carried on like this *smile*, as the perverse passionfruit icing,

but it would be completely *smile* up.

international tennis and cricket is pushing it; but VIP Big Brother?

So who else has had good stuff to look forward to cancelled this past couple of weeks. This *smile* is becoming exhausting.

Supposed to be flying out to Townsville next Monday. I'm now gonna reschedule that for late August, but I have had to chop a couple of days off it (and still no guarantee I can go of course). Plus I still have to use my leave next week.

That would be OK if there was proof the beach or park has been the site of proven transmission. The same thing happens here at the local dog park, at the local shops.in groups, parents in groups talking. Some masks some not. I don't think people going to the park or the beach is the issue. Happy to see stats showing otherwise.

Personally I'd be happy to see the stats telling me that the beach etc are proven places of no transmission. Until I hear otherwise, and with lots of people in close contact during what is supposed to be a lockdown, I would much prefer to see these people Stay the F*** Home!

Have the Vic govt stopped reporting the number of new cases that were in isolation, either partial or total?

They reported them on Saturday and they weren't too bad, 18 out of 19 not in isolation for the full period, but averaged only 1.5 days in the community. I haven't seen these stats the last 2 days, has anyone seen where they have been reported?

My daughter is supposed to be going to snow camp next Monday but appears like that may not go ahead with the lockdown, she will be disappointed.

During the June lockdown my wife and I were looking forward to the Vic Masters softball at Shepparton held over the Queens Birthday long weekend. It got canned last year too, so that was a blow. My wife knits and every year at Bendigo there’s a wool show. Canned last year and now this year, too. It’s grinding people down.

The 4 they got today were all in isolation they said.

2 locally acquired cases in SA. 81 year old and his daughter. I believe both recently returned from Argentina and completed hotel quarantine in Sydney. Actually it's not clear if the daughter travelled to Argentina as well but regardless they are both positive.

I reckon the season's done. Empty GF at G or back in Qld.....maybe.

Probably good we tailed off this season. 3 from 4 flags are now established. Just hope 2022 doesn't make it a 3-peat of this corona sh!t.

It's gotta be close to being paused at the very least.
Players missing games due to exposure sites..Players stuck in quarantine..fixiture locations shuffled all over the place..no hubs.
It's rapidly become unsustainable.

Is Boris' idea the way to go? These lockdowns are seriously doing my head in.

Thats a really good post on facts.
Knowing there is a 3 month gap between the 2 jabs, the 1st jab results are very promising we are on track for well over 60% vaxed for the over 40+ population. With pfizer landing I do have faith we'll get really good vax rates by end of Sept.

Not looking at the current fully vaxed rate as that is misleading imo due to large gaps between jabs. How I see it.

Im allowing for time lapse between AZ shots and also with only 3 weeks apart for the pfizer, yeah end of Sept I am predicting ......
64% fully vaxed for the over 20+. Under 20, not factoring
75% by end of Oct if not sooner

Gonna do a Scomo now :))
