It is amazing how biased you've been since the beginning of this whole pandemic.
In NSW, Gladys has been unlucky because people aren't taking personal responsibility. Hotel Quarantine failures are inevitable.
In VIC Dictator Dan's incompetence caused hotel quarantine failures. People have no resposibility. The government should let us do what we want, but also tell us exactly what to do. Luck doesn't exist.
I was wrong. No one should take responsibility. The quarantine enquiry here showed that. It started when no one wanted to put their hand up for decisions made. Everything should be done by creeping assumption.
Gladys backed her previously successful strategy which in hindsight was a mistake. You could argue a poor mistake given the evidence and information she had on the delta variant. Many on here highlighted it. (although they also bagged the successful NSW handling of previous outbreaks)
Ultimately it comes back to the initial decision making, it started with the federal government and the lack of responsibility they took for quarantine. And it is likely Scomo will be punished for it.
Lack of a federal approach to a national issue is definitely root cause of all issues IMO. Failed leadership. Leads to all the state infighting too.
with that said screw ups everywhere and the failure to learn in NsW particularly is most galling.

Even if their approach is starting to work it will take 5 days for it to become apparent. Talked to Sydney based friends yesterday, they are pretty pissed off with the way Gladys is handling it.
And there are apparently others being brought in from o/s for Celebrity Big Brother when there are thousands of Australians o/s who can't come home. Its obscene.
Not going down, but not going up either. NSW is starting to look like it has plateaued. But its still gonna be a long haul for them. 14 day average is 73 . 7 day average is 95. Even if numbers start dropping now, its gonna take them a good 4 weeks to get their 14 day average down to 5.

Actually I am not sure what is a bigger insult to Australians, that this person was allowed in, or that big brother is still on TV.
Appalling decision in the first place. Didn't anyone read some background on her? And now trying to say kicked out on character? Initially let in because of the economic benefit?
