Coronavirus

With the overnight declaration by the WHO of a pandemic. ....... anyone thinking we're heading for a lockout next Thursday?
We know how the AFL follow everything they do in the US.... Some NBA and all NCAA matches are now fan free. Only a matter of time and I reckon it's going to be pretty soon.

AOC I guess it depends what happens with the Grand Prix after there has been another 3 self reporting officials!

If the Grand Prix is cancelled or it goes ahead with NO crowds you may see the AFL follow.

There are Clubs have gone bunker so what happens to those that have to travel, use flights for their players !

Do they charter then ????

There are Clubs could ill afford to be playing in front of empty stadiums. What happens to them? Clubs are going to take $ hit to their bottom line. Will the AFL compensate for this? The TV rights have been paid for!
KAOS

Ridiculous post.

So Italy is over reacting by locking up 60m people.
Where did I say that?

I said I am making a choice not to panic about something I cannot control. I'll let the doomsday preppers spend endless hours tying themselves in knots.

Nothing will stop this from spreading, short of a shutting down of everything. I don't envy the position the gov't is in. A shutdown is not going to happen - yet. But imagine it is inevitable.

I'll do my best to follow the expert advice and hope everyone is OK.

All good, let tough talkin Jazz go shake hands with the next person who has coronavirus. I'm sure he'll be right.
I'm surprised you haven't retreated to the bunker yet.

You stick to the panicking, I'm just trying to be pragmatic.

Looking at the numbers any suspicion that China was manipulating the numbers to make the heath toll lower must be out the window. They've got a lower mortality rate at the moment.

With more and more countries making people stay home, cancelling sports etc, in a years time we'll be stressing over the massive spike in births and how the planet can cope with over-population.

It's spreading faster outside China than inside now mainly because china locked up the sick by force - either taking them away or welding their doors shut - to stop the spread.

*smile* got real, Tom Hanks has contracted the virus. Poor Woody....

**** got real, Tom Hanks has contracted the virus. Poor Woody....

from the gold coast, 63 year old Tom said 'we felt a bit tired, like we had colds'

I find the world exceedingly strange at the moment.

I might paint a face on a coconut and see if it can answer my burning questions

Your insurance won't cover ya for the coroner virus. Pretty sure all the insurance companies pad their arses for this sort of stuff no matter how fancy the cover you take out.

yep. well the last flight and hotel I bokoed are flexi and I can cancel if necessary. hopefully it won't come to that. If I can't fly, surely Qatar airlines will postpone my flight for another date?

Yes, if you consider the equator passes just above New Guinea, it's very much a northern hemisphere affliction at this stage.

winter might be a factor. and we're heading into winter.

First question to be asked, "Who's better, Dusty or Royce?"

Funny how it took Tom Hanks & the NBA to rattle a few people into realising how serious this is.

AFL season sadly looks in real doubt right now. Have a feeling this is the least of our problems.

Pestilence is one of the 4 horses of the Apocalypse.

War, Famine and Death the other 3.

Time to read Revelations again me thinks.

Occurred to me that, for better or worse, a lot of people will turn to the Bible for answers. This does indeed have the potential to become an old-fashioned biblical pestilence.

I always thought Death kinda made the other three Horseman redundant.

Anyhow here's The Clash.
