Italy's gone back to the Mussolini days. Police and military all around controlling people's actions. Everyone can't go to a restaurant at night but OK during day (?!?!) and have to sit 3 metres distance from each other.

This is serious but the hysteria is beyond belief.
i know from where you sit politically, in the centre, next to Bolt and Alan Jones, calling a nation of a people a plague is reasonable, but you can surely understand some far wing lefties might consider that just a little racist. its ok though, cos im sure you have a neighbour who is chinese, or at least asian, and you say hi to them, so clearly you're not.

There is no logic or reason to this world. The (old white) blokes running the show are just as useless as the rest of us and international crisis cooperation is entirely unattainable most neighbours cant coordinate painting a fence effectively.
I flew to Melbourne a week ago and Jetstar put me on an international flight from South Korea.
no *smile*. It touched down on the GC to pick a couple of us up and then onto Melbourne.
I had to go through international customs (when I joke asked border force if I needed a visa for Richmond, he didn't crack a grin)
I honestly felt like I was on candid camera when I entered a huge jumbo full of hundreds of Koreans wearing face masks.

Look, labelling whole nations or races of people as "plagues" is completely fine - there was a strong tradition of this way of thinking in Europe in the mid-20th century.
