Stop whinging & do the right thing. Be personally responsible for what you do.
Only way we get through this is if people stop being selfish.

Two completely different issues Lee. No one can be blamed for unknowingly having the virus but being asymptomatic and inadvertently spreading it. You can't lock yourself away if you don't feel sick. All you can do is abide by social distancing measures mandated and only go out when necessary. It's the people that have symptoms and go ahead and get tested, but then decide they can live their normal lives whilst awaiting the test results. They are the stupid selfish arseholes that are driving the numbers at the moment. It's part of the insidiousness of the virus. If you don't feel sick and don't think you've got it, it runs contrary to human nature to lock yourself away. Of course if you've got symptoms and voluntarily sought a test, then refused to isolate...
Unfortunately I don't think some will fully comprehend the danger until we're getting smashed and people they know are affected. I've made more phone calls in the last four months than I'd normally make in two years and am still yet to hear of anyone I know who has it.
Personal responsibility seems a thing of the past in this day and age. It's always someone else's faultStop whinging & do the right thing. Be personally responsible for what you do.

53% of people do not self-isolate after being tested. absolutely disgraceful and indicative of today’s "me me" society. That’s why facemasks are needed.
He was also very clear in providing a 1800 number that people can call if they need time off whilst awaiting test results and don't have access to sick leave. They will be paid $1500 so that they can stay at home and not go to work and potentially infect others.Andrews made a very important point about insecure workers. If basics like sick leave aren't there in low paid jobs then people will still go to work to feed their families.
Makes it hard for contact tracers. I often don't answer my phone if I don't know the number because most of the time it's a telemarketer. But if the contract tracer left a message I would call back straight away. And a third of people who are rung for contract tracing don't answer their phone.

I didn't hear it like that but it's a reasonable point you make.I assumed the 53% included people who were randomly tested, as opposed to those who sought a test because they thought they may have it. If someone came to your door and asked you to submit to a test because you're in a "hot zone", and you had no reason to believe you had the virus, then you shouldn't feel compelled to isolate until you get the result.
The 53% is really a useless statistic without qualification.

Face masks a prime example, CMO says its gotta be fitted & washed & dont touch etc etc , Dan says a bandana is fine.
If you have a test you're meant to self isolate til you get the results back (hopefully negative!).too many mixed messages, from Dan & DHHS & CMO.

1 of my techs got tested on Saturday, no symptoms, he rang me Sunday & asked does he come to work Monday whilst awaiting result.
I google DHHS , cant find anything except if you've got symptoms, I say come to work
Listen to Dan's presser today & by the sound of it I've done the wrong thing ?
I am not a stupid man , but if the rules aren't clear , confusion will reign
I agree if you have symptoms, what if you do not ?If you have a test you're meant to self isolate til you get the results back (hopefully negative!).
The bandana gets my vote. If it's on your mask it's on everything else you're wearing too so the fitting won't matter.
My understanding is the face covering is primarily so you don't infect someone else, not the other way around.
Why did your tech get tested if he had no symptoms Taz?
