Re the Gov tracing App..
On the face of it it seems like a great idea to trace cases & protect health workers & members of the public.
However I think this Government is going to have a tough time convincing people to download it as there are trust issues.
Especially after the problems with the My Health Record being hacked & also the My Gov website crashing.
Good luck convincing people to take it up...

lol at Americans protesting against the lock down ........ in their cars.

and Trump tweeting against Democratic states which sounds like he wants to encourage protests. This because they have gone further than his guidelines including closing shooting ranges which Trump wants classed as an essential service. Is this guy serious or a troll?

Just astonished the more this goes on in America , people’s behaviour & attitudes.

Like they are immune against and they are above the law.

Well it mainly stems from their President who is like a yo-yo in his language, behaviour , strategy & tweets.

It would need a built-in expiry date before I'd let them near it. All encroachment of government in data etc. in the name of "terrorism" or "security" should have public privacy safeguards built-in that force them to be ceased and/or deleted when the "threat" is not present or a state of national security has not been triggered or at a specific date. These laws that degrade personal privacy have become common practice since Sept. 11 2001. My issue with any law entering the books is that they are never written back out so there should be very serious public discussion and safeguards when they are being drafted.

China held the director-general post of the WHO for 11 years up to 2017 through Dr. Margaret Chan. Shortly thereafter they "softened" their stance on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

The topic of Hong Kong’s media bias against China was brought up. The following conversation happened to reinforce anti-China sentiment by exploring examples of the existence of bias from China.

Recognising agendas and bias is an important skill, but as we see with the umpires, it’s always harder to see bias when it’s against the opposition.

Hopefully by July we all get a chance to boo the umpires in good spirits instead!

Maybe the locals receive a fuller picture from their news services rather than the slanted snippets we're treated to.

You can watch Trump's full media conferences and make your own mind up. My opinion is he's a raving lunatic. I think if he was psychologically assessed they'd immediately place him in a straight jacket.

That's what I see as well, but there is a significant number of Republicans in the US (mostly across the middle of the country) who believe he has done a lot more for them than what they call... "Obama's socialist policies". I've seen their fb comments and it's just astounding how they think he is so smart and everyone who criticizes him is in the wrong. They ignore all the issues we see and are so insular in the way they view the world, only being concerned about their own life and where they live and no concern at all for the poorer countries who will suffer when the WHO funding is cut. They say..."why should we support health care and immunisation in other countries...stuff them". This crisis has at least shown the US how Trump has shifted blame and tried to re-write history because if it hadn't happened, the DJI would probably still be high and he'd be going to the polls with strong Wall St support which would have made his re-election almost inevitable. Let's hope his blind followers are not in the majority later this year. P.S. I'm not sure that Biden is the right alternative but it's probably too late to bring in someone new like Andrew Cuomo who looks more electable.

Case count - all countries (7am)

159,661 deaths (6.88%)
55,218 severe (2%)
1,512,448 mild (65%)

Don't think we will ever know the true numbers L2R2R, but you can only report what the websites available to you are saying. USA and China numbers?? I have a feeling they might be a lot different.

Journalist Stephen Koukoulas doesn't think the government is doing a great job:

A couple of key paragraphs:

"The policy stimulus to date leave the Australian economy no better off than similar industrialised countries which are all poised to register recessions of a similar magnitude to Australia.

There is nothing special or pathbreaking about the Australian policy approach on the economy compared with many other countries even though the policies announced to date are helpful."

I see the same thing and this is a stark contradiction to a lot of his press conferences in the past. He has been challenged and I think he knows he has done a bad job. His press conferences particularly over the last few weeks have become more and more ragged and without control. His child like behaviours have really come out over the last few weeks and IMO show a man under a lot of stress and someone that doesn't like to lose but knows that they are.

Trump is disheveled, more than usual. He’s fading. As far as the protesters go, there was a photo taken from inside a building looking out and it was The Walking Dead trying to get in.

This?....... Not sure Trump will be happy until he causes another civil war!Studio_20200419_152602~2.jpg
