Contract List

So 7 senior list spots to fill now with Gordon and Dea being delisted.

Pick 12
Pick 31 - Yarran
Pick 52
Pick 70 - Townsend
Pick 88 - Lambert
Pick 106
Pick 120

So two youngsters at the draft, plus two ex-AFL players/state leaguers?

I'm pretty sure we had 40 on our main list in 2015 so my guess is we are leaving our options open.

We have delisted or retired 7 from our main list and 2 from the rookies and added 2 on the main list so we are at 35 on the main list right now. As a minimum we will take 2 picks in the draft and upgrade Lambert. I would think we will look to add Moore and then IMO we will either look to another DFA or we will go to the draft with 36 on our list (if Moore is signed) and make a decision then to either take another late pick (88) if someone we rate slides or we will just take an additional rookie and go for 5 plus Soldo.

How many years can Cat B rookies be classed as Class B rookies?

I expect now

we'll Upgrade Lambert
sign Moore
Pick three players at the draft
And another three at the rookies draft
yeah probably.
at the moment it is
39 listed players in 2015, 7 out and 2 in = 34, if we assume Moore comes in that is 35
5 rookies ( plus soldo), 2 out = 3

We have 6 spaces assuming Moore comes and we can add as few as 3 to our senior list (and 3 rookies) or as many as 5 ( and one rookie)

It will probably depend on whether we add another delisted free agent or not.

Your right, my post above said 40 but its actually 39.

Reckon then we will still go into the draft with our options open and will be taking as a min 2 picks plus Lambert to the main list takes us to 38. If someone that we like slides then maybe we will take them, otherwise I expect us to take 4 additional rookies. Don't think Castagna will be permanently promoted, he would be able to be promoted before the season starts anyway as a nominated rookie so reckon we will be looking at 38 + 6 rookies (plus Soldo).

I'd be ok with that (and reckon a few other teams will be doing the same - Geelong and Carlton will probably go with min main list of 38 too) and it leaves us open and with options going into a stronger draft next year.

It's been our MO. I think 2015 was the only year we went with anything else but 38 senior list plus 6 rookies. We seem to like to reward players in March with a nominated rookie spot.

Any idea if they're afr going about $$$ or is Richmond giving themselves time to shake out another DFA?
I'd suggest they are just weighing up their options regarding potential draftees/DFAs to see what is out there first. Would think he would accept whatever contract is put to him, most likely a 1 year deal.

I'd expect Lloyd to get another year, but he's really only there until we can get a more viable longer term small forward.

Interesting article on the RFC web site on how good out past draft picks have been. Can't argue with that.

Read it and I'm sure you will agree, although darksiders will find some fault for certain.

Yeah no problems there.
And we keep quality elsewhere for unders.

(Hampson and Griffith need to have massive breakout years)

Would hope to see C Ellis, Menadue and Vlastuin signing contract extensions within the next month or so also.
