Interesting because i would have though Dea was the most likely to be retained out of the 3 but that is a personal view with no knowledge at all of the inside thinking.

We don't have to upgrade lambert of course, we could go with 38-39 listed players and upgrade lambert before round 1. It doesn't have to be done in the draft because he has only had one year as a rookie

He probally should have gone anyway, but I'd rather have kept him then about 6 others ......anyway there not going to be the difference between top 4 and miss 8

I can't see the reason to keep Dea. He might be back-up but still hasn't proven much as a defender or a mid in 6 years. Lambo and Castagna are definite upgrades, and I hope we go well with the rookies again. I'd rather find a ready made ruck in the PSD or rookies than as pick 12 (go for a mid)
 
I assume that you are referring to Shane Yarren and not Chris Yarren who is far ahead of Gordon
 
Personally would be disappointed if Gordon wasn't delisted. I just don't see where he fits in our team. Lloyd will be given a year and Dea may be given a year but depends on Castagna.

3 spots on the main list.

1 - Pick 12'
1 - Pick 52
1 - Moore
1 - Lambert
1 - Castagna?

Suggests that at least 1, maybe 2 more will be delisted and we only have Gordon, Lloyd and Dea out of contract.

If we get Moore along with Townsend (obviously already got) then I would be surprised if they didn't release Thomas as well and draft some young kids.
 
IMO Gordon is as good as gone and we will probably find that out this week and will be replaced by Moore which I reckon ends Thomas's Tigers career. That would mean we would need to sign 3 more rookies. I guess we need to assess whether we want to take a 4th rookie and therefore promote Castagna and delist Dea or whether we give Dea a years extension.

IMO Dea will get a 1 year extension, whether he signs it I have no idea. Reckon Lloyd gets another year.

Can we re-rookie both Thomas and Castagna therefore it is not a question of either Moore or Thomas as they can be both rookied

Course we can. Thomas can have 1 more year on the rookie list but IMO its more about list balance. I think with both Townsend and Moore there isn't really a spot for Thomas and I'd rather bring someone in who had some upside.

Castagna has only been a rookie for 1 year so its our choice if we want him on the main or rookie list. Reckon he will stay on the rookie list personally but others have suggested we will upgrade him.

The club has some big decisions on our talls next year and reckon other clubs are working them hard.

Hopefully Vickery signs over summer as I don't reckon he would handle the distraction to well next season if it starts to drag out

Might be more likely we'd upgrade a couple of our current rookies with the latest draft picks, n then have a dabble at putting some new rookies on for one year. Two live picks, two trades then Lambert, Jayden n George upgraded maybe.

maybe Shane Yarran as a rookie and seems to be some talent that has been delisted that might be worth a second shot
