Conspiracies....get your conspiracies here!

This one is a good one with a fair bit of meat on it, or so it seems. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

'Chemtrails' still shows promise - i reckon it has legs. Lots of disciples.

IMO, Victoria should adopt the "State of Conspiracy" tag.

Seriously, if it isn't the Australian cricket team being made up of only NSWelshmen, or the NRL trying to screw over the Storm because they are from Melbourne, etc. etc.

Apologist.

If they haven't made a doco with Leonard Nimmoy as narrator then it isn't a real conspiracy.

Heheh, I recently bought the box set of In Search Of... Was my favourite show as a kid, yet these days I'm quite the skeptic when it comes to conspiracy theories.

My theory on conspiracy theories is that, with many time-honoured mysteries being explained or debunked by modern science, we're inventing our own to fill the void. :spin

Yes, got one for you.

It's been brewing for some time, with the Gillard government actively giving the Unions "carte blanche" to do anything necessary to gain power industrially.

Yesterday's wall collapse in the Melbourne CBD was a Union sabotage of an existing old wall, in a joint venture with organized crime to send the Grollos broke.

There is no secret about the Building Union's war with the Grollos.

Yesterday, we read that the Building Union was now stopping concrete trucks from delivering to building sites.

Today, we read that a wind blows down a 100 year wall. It wasn't that windy yesterday!

After reading about the corruption of the Victoria Police in the Overland investigation, and its links to organised crime, I have no doubt that the Victoria Police will find no evidence of sabotage. They won't even be looking for it.

As for Union attempts to destroy the manufacturing industry in Victoria, I have no doubt that the Manufacturing Unions are succeeding in destroying Victorian manufacturing, losing many thousands of Victorians their jobs, as multi-national manufacturers switch their operations to S.E.Asian countries.

But, Union officials can slap each other on the back saying, "We're growing in power!"

That's my conspiracy theory.

Wasn't it just that strong squall in the wind change yesterday that caused it?

Classic case of public liability. Grocon's going to have to fork out money for 2 (and maybe 3) lives lost. I'm still waiting for the City Loop to do something similar.

Not wanting to buy into your theory Phanto, but something on the news did catch my eye about this. On tv, and in the paper, one of the first witnesses there was named Martin Setka. I wondered if he was any relation to John Setka, the union boss in battle with Grocon? Maybe just coincidence, but................................ ;)

Brother of, yep. Definite conspiracy to make the union look sympathetic and caring.

Yep.

Heard that the CFMEU doctors, across the road, just happened to be in and were first ones to the scene.

Coincidence?

If it is a "listed" wall does the City Council have any liability?

Not sure KR. They say it was owned by Grocon who were planning to build apartments.

It was heritage-listed because of the CUB but I'd assume it's the owner's responsibility when it comes to maintenance.

The carlton voodoo conspiracy

This from luke mcguane on on rfc.com yesterday

"It's good to get this win, especially against Carlton, and get that voodoo off our back. Now we just move on."

The story goes that after the 1982 gf loss, some carlton fan collected some of mick malthouses pubes off the soap in the tigers rooms and made a little tiger doll with curly hair that theyve been sticking pins into for 30 years. Now that Micks a blue, the voodoo is null and void. Conspiracy exposed by Luke Mcguane.

..........

So are you suggesting with that carte blanche that Julia Gillard is responsible for this terrible accident?

I'm sure just wondering where the line is? If it is heritage listed surely it has to pass some greater test does that put the testing agency under any pressure be it the historical society the city council or whoever?

Actually I just read (with more concentration this time ;D) that Matthew Guy, Vic Planning Minister says he 'doesn't believe' it was heritage-listed as it was only left there as a 'feature wall' since 1987 so it's up to the property owner Grocon to explain. Now they say it's more to do with a billboard that Grocon placed in front of the wall in which the City Council says it didn't need to produce a permit as the wall was existant. This is obviously going to turn into a war between Grocon, the CFMEU and the City Council. Too scared to claim responsibility.

I spoke with someone "in the know" within the building industry over the weekend.

Before this "cold war" between the Grollos and the Building Union, Grocon had an exemplary record in OHS.

Since this war began, a number of "accidents" have suddenly occurred on Grocon sites. It was only a fortnight or so ago that a workman fell from a lift to his death, with others before, now this!

Old rule of thumb,
One accident is unfortunate.
Two accidents are a worry.
Three accidents are suspicious.

Didn't this cold war start when Bruno's sons took over? I never remember any union problems when Bruno was around in the 80s, when unions were stronger.

Grollos and the unions have been battling since the old John Halfpenny days. There's nothing like going on strike midway through a concrete pour to get the bosses attention.

Years ago I used to sell bricks to the Grollos for their residential stuff. They threw great xmas parties. :partyfest
