Changes Vs West Coast Eagles

Looking at the selections this year appears as though we are tanking already, surely the club knows we have no first rounders in this year's national draft? They must really like players in mind from the second round which we currently hold picks 21, 39, 57 (gave away 3 to GWS for Hopper).

I will be there cheering the boys along, I don't sook up when a player is not selected, the team needs us to be there

Fair call. Get along. Have a Saturday afternoon beer or two. Given the predicted temperature, they’ll be ice cold too.

I believe my eyes. He dropped his head when he missed a couple early
He was poor last week and poor for the last 3 quarters against the Demons.
I’ve said I am a big fan and he is a key player in our future forward line but he needs to learn you don’t drop your head when things don’t go your way.
Tough crowd..
As lomg as we’re consistent

Furthermore
Jack, cotch, dusty etc didn't have to bang the door down.
They had talent.
It was obvious.
They were played.
Cumberland has X factor and oozes natural talent. He will learn more in a *smile* outing in the seniors rather than with the *smile* kickers in the VFL.
But…. He drops his head and wears his heart on his sleeve.
Slap it out of him…!
By the way, he never bags or abuses his teammates, just gets disappointed when he doesn’t meet his own expectations

Miller plays again off a two possession game.
Young out and isnt replaced.
So Miller stays in as the defender on the bench.
The only alternative was to bring in Bauer, which clearly was a close call

Miller is lucky but its also due to his flexibility

I'd play Balta (Allen), Grimes (Darling), Broad (Waterman), Vlastuin (Culley), D.Rioli (Petruccelle) Short (Edwards), & Baker (O'Neill) down back this week & drop Miller, not required.

Sorry but thats a rubbish argument. So a young player drops his head after a few mistakes and is hard on himself. Means he cares. Stupid reason to drop him especially in our current predicament. He is dropped and now has a full week unless he is the sub with no footy and plenty of mind games to work through when he should of got a hand on the shoulder and told to just keep trying and things will work this week. I remember a one Alex Rance who was almost identical in the way he was hard on himself when he was making mistakes early in his career. He turned into a not bad player that bloke. Imagine they kept dropping him for being hard on himself.

Exactly. Have never seen him get dirty on a teammate or abuse a teammate. Gets disappointed with himself

He certainly is passionate and never abuses team mates, but he does sook after making a mistake which can cost the team through a lack of defensive effort. I saw this right in front of me against the dogs and commented on it at the time. It wasn’t picked up on the broadcast, but he smacked the ground in frustration after a turnover and plodded to the next contest which he would have easily covered if he hadn't been carrying on.

Obviously this is only one example but was pretty poor viewing and i can never imagine someone like George Castsgna acting this way, and I think it indicates that attitude is his problem. I suspect Noah's been told this many times but the message isn't sinking in, hence Dimma has found him hard to praise in his press conferences, regardless of his forward prowess, and has dropped him to reinforce the point.

Dimma is either tanking or coaching for a termination payout. Only way those changes make any sense

Brings back Beer Shites Ralph instead of Dow and keeps Miller in who is as useful as a chocolate frypan.

Cumbo dropped is a *smile* disgrace.

Pretty obvious Dimma as it in for some players and hence can’t make rational decisions about them

Nothing wrong with watching the replay later, as long as you haven't cheated n done a final score check before watching the replay. If ya don't know who's won or lost ya just pretend you're watching a live broadcast.
TM. You are right but I would find it too hard not to cheat and have done so in the past so now I have to do it right

Earlier in the season when he was in the vfl he had a poor game where as an example he gave away a really bad 50 by letting his frustration get to him. This is the issue.
This is the final piece of the puzzle for him. He is a burst forward and he is going to have times where he doesn’t impact. The lesson for him is that when that happens you work hard, do the basics. He isn’t doing that and after watching him live last Sunday I was disappointed in him in this aspect of his game.
How he reacts to this will define him going forward
Our forward line was like witches hats with the ball coming out last Sunday. He was only one part but it was clear to me he wasn’t working hard enough.
He is massively valuable to us going forward, forwards who can kick multiple goals in bursts are great weapons, but he can’t just be an occasional offensive weapon.
You can use the words rubbish and stupid all you like, I am just giving you my opinion.

Which one of our players warrant another go after that insipid performance against GC?
Some, as I said post match we actually matched them well around the ball and a number of players had decent games. The biggest issue was our lack of work rate when we didn’t have the ball. I suspect a couple of paid the price for that.
But there are some who didn’t have great games for sure.

Horrible selection calls again, too wet to have Miller Soldo and Ryan play. Cumbo should be in for miller. Jack Graham half done never works out too.

It’s how you react then which is the issue Merveille.

Keep working don’t work less

Same with Sonsie. He got schooled by a bloody good professional in Bobble. Use it to get better

It’s a lesson, I hope they learn from it because we will be better for it if they do

Is Young actually injured? Nothing in the injury report or any of the press conferences about it?

Or is he 'injured'?

If it's actually a dropping and they've decided to play Miller down back instead that's a horrible decision. Nonetheless I will be there cheering the boys on to their first win in Melbourne in a long time.
