Changes v the Cats

I'd like to see us Cat C list Bam Bam Tuivasa this week

to play on Tom Stewart
Whoever it is, I’d like to see some payback dished out to Stewart too.

But by no means am I advocating any senseless violence.
I don’t want any of our players getting suspending adding to our list woes.
Nor bringing any anger toward the club from the league, other clubs, the media and supporters.

No, I suggest an act that is within the rules of the game.
Something that will be uncontroversial and pass without comment.
An act that will be totally fair and just in the eyes of the umpires and MRO.

Maybe Cotch can charge through him at full speed with his elbow raised catching him flush in the middle of his face.
That would be nice.

Then Dimma can start the presser telling everyone how Cotch is such a good bloke apropos of nothing.

I’d rather Stewart do a knee because he gets shoved into a contest by one of ours. That would be fitting.

Cumberland out for a while would be a mistake of Titanic proportions.

Young? He could hardly have done more.
Bet you all the money in China that no 38 doesn’t run out in next week . His body language yesterday was horrible , and if we want a 10 goal flogging next week , play Young on Hawkins or Jeremy Cameron . Actually make it 12 goal flogging .

Haven't watched the replay yet, saving that for a lazy Sunday arvo veg. Reckon Jaaack played a solid team game yesterday, did a lot of hands and knees dirty, grub work in the contests and under packs to just try and get some ball to team mates. Our ball use first qtr and early in the third was bloody ordinary and didn't help our forwards at all.
Can you count the frees and check against the AFL site.
I was at the game and I thought they had about 5 or 6 early in the first quarter but when I checked the app it said 2 a piece. Maybe I’m just old and biased but could have sworn they had a few more by that stage.

Broad will cover Cameron. Balta to Hawkins but he better be switched on.
Broad is our best option on Cameron.

Was it Broad that had the job on Cameron when he was at GWS when we played off with them in the 19 GF?

The question the MC will face will be :

Does Broad play on him wherever he goes, as we know Cameron is an endurance beast and works up and down the ground and tends to lose his opponent. ?

I don’t we have anyone else to take Cameron when he drifts up the ground and then switch to Broad when he is forward.

We also have to be switched on to Cameron who likes to come from behind a team mate who he knows won’t make the distance for that hand ball receive and shot on goal.

Hawkins . The only match up is Balta. Do we mix with Miller and Balta ?

The midfield as usual will be the key to our chances.

Dimma looking for any excuse to drop Cumbo prefers Richmond man Mansell instead
He loves battlers in the mould of FAarts George (in his latter years) to someone that has factor and plays outside the square
Maybe if Cumbo lights it up in the VFL off HB he’ll get another go

Not sure I'd make any changes.

Cotch probably comes in as in the past has loved playing the Cats( in finals especially) but the midfield functioned as well as it has all year in his absence.

Probably Young comes back in but again the backline looked much more assured.

That said it was against the lowly Eagles. The Cats will be a much, much tougher opponent.
I’m with you TOO.

I would go with the same group and back them in.

We don’t have anyone really coming back from injury.

Possibly Soldo, but we can’t take that risk with him as he returned last week after a long lay off and missed Saturday’s game.

Young maybe, but the kids last two games he appeared to just be off confidence wise.

Our back 6-7 got some of their run, link up , chemistry and confidence. I know it was against WC, but in football we know a lot of it is played above the shoulders.

I would go again with Samson & Miller.

Cotch is the only in for me so one change only for mine.

So who do I think the one change will be ??

The Match Committee & Hardwick would be looking at the below.

From: Mansell
Cumberland
Ralphsmith
Clarke

I would rather others come up with the player.

I want to persevere with all of them. They are part of our future and need games in them now with our injuries.

They have to be exposed in big games and it won’t get much bigger than Friday night.

I would back Cumberland Friday night in.

Ralphsmith & Clarke have run. Mansell too who also has a streak in him.

Conditions might also play a possible part in what other changes may occur.

you could mark them down in the footy record in real, time.

I think we,re a chance v the Cats if we:

stop handballing and kicking the ball 2 metres over the teammates head.
stop wildly high bombing the ball into the forward 50 allowing the oppo defence to pick it off easily.
stop fumbling the ball.
kick straight for goal.
You sound like brodders. He's convinced we simply need to score more than the opposition then we'll win.

Balta had heaps of run. Was impressive. This has been lacking all season.

Don't forget that Broad is also an endurance beast so he could wear Cameron no matter where he went. Probably on the interchange bench as well!
Remember Hawkins, Balta's knee and Soldo being maimed?

Nah - Cumbo is clearly not following instruction - whatever that is - and it is becoming a painful and public lesson.
