Changes v Lions qualifying final

Don't know why people are thinking Nank comes back I think he's cooked for this year, I hope not though
Wishful thinking i think as he would be a better option than Balta or Chol, assuming now that Soldo is locked in

Soldo has to be locked in, he gets better by the week and offers more at the centre bounce, I see no reason why we can't have Soldo and Nank, that would be great in the ruck, Nank can do a fair bit around the ground and Soldo is improving around the ground.

Ellis was faultless and important unequivocally. Not just IMO.

but IMO, Bolton was lively and creative and selfless and important
Counterpoint: Ellis was sketchy today, there's so many times where his lack of intensity means it's the plays he doesn't try to make that do the most damage. He'll stay in the team for the year, but I won't be sorry to see him go.

I would go in unchanged. Nank to play a full game in VFL before he is allowed back in the team. Unless he has the power to smash in there is no point to having him in the team.

Interesting. Potential ins are Nank, Ross and if fit Stacky.

Outs in my book Castagna and potentially Short. If Stacky was available Stacky for Short would seem a given.

Ross could help clearances, Stacky would shore up half back. If Nank second rucks Balta could be the wild card

Who’s taken over your profile? First you wrap up and defend short (previous weeks) and now u want George dropped? Usually on the money but perhaps they’ve changed your feed?

They won’t mess with the backline, folks.

Stack might come in for Shorty for the second final, but that’s it.

We have class all over the field but I still feel we could find a harder edge.

I like Ross. He is a tough clearance player and loves the hard game.

I have backed KMac's omission but I now feel he would stiffen up our defensive structure.

I enjoyed watching Townsend last week at Windy Hill, he was back to his bullocking best. He really surprised me at how much energy he brought.

I'm not saying we need to bring all these players back, I'm just getting a vibe that we could add a little more starch to compliment our classy ball users.

We've just won 9 straight so I trust the MC.

The ideal change would be stack in for short but the mc stuffed that up a couple of weeks ago.

The good thing is that our ressies are also playing finals, simply means we will have a full squad of match ready players to choose from if something goes wrong n we need to find a replacement in a hurry.

Geez, Balta and Chol both refusing to take the spot on offer. Worrying that the finals opportunity hasn't elevated their games at all.

A half fit Nank might just be the best option. At least he'll give 100% effort.

Would love to have Nank come back in, but he'd have train and play well this week in the VFL

And not that we are going to need it, but both teams have got the double chance.

That was Prestia’s fault. He butchered a simple pass and put Ellis under immediate pressure.

Was Prestia's fault, problem is in the same position another Tiger player would have won the contest because it was still to the advantage of Ellis. But as usual Ellis lost the 1 on 1 as he often does. Ellis wasn't sighted much and thought he had an average game but no obvious blunders other than the normal not going in quite as hard as he should sometimes. He's a lock though for finals. No-one else to come in at the moment that can play his position better.

Playing VFL finals in the coming week so Tigers don't think he's cooked yet and giving him every opportunity to prove his fitness.

except Cotchy has heaps less shots and misses heaps more goals than George.

will George need to win the Coleman before folks get what he brings?

people were saying the same thing about Butler ..... I couldn't see that either.

Mitch Robinson and Hodge pushed our players around too much for my liking. Over next 2 weeks selectors should seriously consider bringing in Cam McIntosh. His height, awkwardness and mongrel will be valuable assets at the Gabba.
Horses for courses!

I would like to see a Soldo-Nankervis combo. Its a bit concerning how little footy Nank will have played coming in to finals but still think Nank's output will be greater than what Chol or Balta can at this stage.

yep. seems obvious tbh. Nank doesn't need to play a full game.

Nank would add grunt and toughness and a much needed marking contest around the ground - if he gets through the VFL next week then I reckon he comes in for Balta - who does Nank ruck against in the VFL?

Otherwise no change.

Pity Stack is out as he can add that hardness we need. In saying that, I think we will see a much different tigers play next - they are a hardened finals team and I reckon they have another gear of two of aggression that we didn’t see yesterday whereas I thought the Lions may have thrown there better punch.
