Changes v Lions qualifying final

I think they may push CC up the ground a bit to get away from Grimes
Regardless of that, if our defence stays deep enough, and doesn't get sucked up the ground, there won't be the open space for CC to run back into. If CC does go right up, that's a win for us. Our system is such that Grimes would just hand over to Baker or whoever else could shadow CC, allowing Grimes to still be the deepest. Ideally we keep our forward line open and squeeze up to congest theirs.

The problem is and the Tigers are prone to it, is we go into the game over confident and it is ours to lose and sadly we can mange that.

Interesting to listen to Jordan Lewis tonight, who's going to be a finals analyst for fox, saying that although the Richmond players won't talk about it publicly. ... last year's prelim will be burning in their gut and that'll be part of their motivation come Saturday.

All these Charlie Cameron stories are starting to really *smile* me. The afl’s ‘independent’ media crew seem to be leading the charge. Break a leg Charlie

$1.65 are beautiful odds when we should be $1.22

agree. money for jam. I imagine its only close because of the atrocious record of VIC teams winning finals interstate. This is different though as it won't feel like an away game.

Just booked return flights from Sydney for $200 , only problem I have a 6 hour drive to Sydney , anyway I’ll be at the Gabba ...Go Tiges

well i did it the tight arse way and booked the ibis budget hotel. its 8km from the airport (unlike sydney where its a 10 min walk), but they have a free shuttle. I called them this morning to book the shuttle, but they said they don't run in the time I need it and will have to book an uber which will cost me $25. sorta defeats the purpose of getting a right arse room and its a bit annoying.

I’m punting on a big win and a decent earn myself.
Plenty of lounge areas at the strippers to rest one’s weary bone(s) Ian so don’t worry about sleeping in a matchbox when you can spread your legs as wide as you like in the company of lovely woman who are particularly concerned about your comfort

haha. nice one. never really been one for strippers tbh. more than happy to get on the sauce hard... there doesn't appear to be much discussion in regards to potential pubs unfortunately. Been to BrisVegas plenty of times and know enough pubs. but interested to know where Richmond fans are going. there is the Shafston Hotel of course, but I get the feeling that will be more for famililes... and it might be better for after the game to celebrate the win.

As good as grimes is, I expect Charlie to respond.

He's an AA, who was one of few who stood up against us in the '17 GF.

We might yet spring a surprise and put Broady on him.

Having just written that, I can't remember seeing Broady last week?

was he doing a shut down role on someone?
Probably was on McStay or McCarthy. They did nothing....

Who's holding who in this AFL.com.au articleo_O

Do they get heavy dew with this forecast?
I don't know as I've never been to Qld. I'd say the humidity might make the ball a bit slippery if it was warmer, but it's getting colder again which is better for us. Now 27 - 12.

It's not really a humid time of the year. I'dbe surprised if a 13 degree low and clear skies will create alot of humidity. Should be a dry evening for footy.

Start of the game will be 15 degrees and dropping. Should be okay!

i have a dilemma as to whether i should wear shorts or jeans., will be warm during the day.

I suggest the most lurid boardies you own Ian.

Its not every day you get to go to a sub-tropical qualifying final with 40,000 other people with no fashion sense.

Broad was on Hipwood. Astbury blanketed McStay. McCarthy was passed between Baker and Short (along with Cox). Houli had Zorko when he went forward.

I suspect we will go with the same matchups.

Pretty sure that's the plan. I think we'll expect Cameron to play further up the ground like he did in the 2nd half last week and we'll allow the mids to pick him up. They are assuming grimes is playing a hard tag which he didn't do last week.
