Changes v Lions qualifying final

This is not to mention the crazy number of goals from stoppages we let through. No doubt we'd be focusing on closing that gap too so they'd need to find these goals from elsewhere.

They kicked 5.3 from stoppages, we kicked 4.3. I'm not sure it was that disproportionate really.

Love all the optimism on here, but just remember the Lions finished 2nd. on the ladder and had some great wins.

Anyone who thinks we are hot favourites need to think again.

Lions finished on the same points as us with a slightly better %. Considering the devastating injuries we've been hit with over the season, the kids glove draw a bottom 6 teams gets, and I reckon we have a right to be optimistic

I think we are hot favourites and am shocked how many of the ‘experts’ have swallowed the whole story about the lions taking it up to us. They are obviously looking at stats rather than the game. They hardly scored and we missed a lot of goals. In saying that, I don’t take winning for granted. If we come out breathing fire and maintain our intensity for 4 quarters I trust our game plan to triumph.

I doubt our coach would be happy that 60% of their score came from stoppages.

60 percent of their puny score of 55 not a big deal. A couple of the goals were ripper goals made from nothing. Sometimes you just have to appreciate good play. The ball is oval, it moves in weird and wonderfully unexpected ways.

Agreed I'd be happy to keep them to a similar score this week. But as our defense has been so staunch across other avenues it'll be an area other teams will want to maximize to exploit and an area we can tweak fairly easily. A small improvement here will help keep the door shut as these ripper goals are real momentum killers.

As good as grimes is, I expect Charlie to respond.

He's an AA, who was one of few who stood up against us in the '17 GF.

We might yet spring a surprise and put Broady on him.

Having just written that, I can't remember seeing Broady last week?

was he doing a shut down role on someone?

Pretty sure Broad played on Hipwood.

I think they may push CC up the ground a bit to get away from Grimes

Grimes’ recent record against Charlie suggests that Dylan is right in his head.

We would have to play *smile* to lose this. Not beyond the realms I know.
