Not writing him off. Just saying that (understandably) his energy levels and speed were now less than what we saw when in his prime, and suggesting that his best results might be seen when he only played around a half.

He's been used as a sub & subbed out in consecutive weeks..

3 weeks ago he had 23 disposals, including 8 in the last quarter against the pies, the week before he had 5 and a goal in the last.
obviously he is not the Cotch of 2017-20, but it is impossible to know if the last 2 weeks are true sign he is finished (unlikely considering his 1sr 3 games were reasonable or good), or whether he has just had 2 bad games, with his age amplifying the attention these bad games get.
I reckon Short will be the only in. Maybe he plays half back (I didnt think i would be saying that again after he last game there) and Ralphsmith misses out, or he returns to his outside mid role and Clarke misses.
He tried damn hard against the Pies but didn't really influence the game.
I'm happy for him to play if he can impact. Hopefully given he's played 2 half games he'll be cherry ripe for a big Anzac performance.
It's more hope than confidence though atm. He's a champion so you'd be crazy to say he's done but it's looking closer..

Tylar Young verses Jacob van Rooyen - interesting matchup I reckon and if Tylar can come out on top I will feel a little better for the club overlooking him and taking Brown instead.
