Changes V Dees

Out - Ralphsmith still too soft and is terrible 1 on 1 especially as a defender.

Ross or Short and or Bauer in.

Hugo is a winger not HB
Ross is a mid not a winger
Need to player them in their correct position to get max output

Changes?Given the Dees lost and we have a boatload of injuries and inexperience, not to mention we need to win this game to keep in touch with others i reckon whatever Dimma comes up with will need to be a master stroke.

Out: Cotch MoJu
In: Short Ross

Miller Young Grimes
Danny Vlastuin Bakes
Short Marlion KMac
Shai Dusty TT
Cumbo Jack Nigel
Balta Hoops Dion
Sonz Samson Ross Hugo
S: Juddy

At least one of Marlion, Shai, Dusty or Sonz at every centre bounce. Never again do we go with Hopper, Taranto and Dion.

Massively agree with your last line.

It's not a good midfield mix. Too same, no spread, no creativity.

Dusty needs to go back to permanent midfield. He's not old or lame enough to be put out to the forward pasture.

I think we should definitely look again at Marlion as a mid. He has the ability to drive the ball forward without losing it backwards. He also knows how to hold on to the ball without panicking. Things our mids desperately need.

For all our issues this year, the midfield has by far been the biggest one.

Melbourne have had the wood on us for a few years now.
Gawn is missing which does bring them down a peg but it's still hard to see where a win is coming from no matter who we pick.
That said 2 horse race.

I'd let them find their way out and make minimal changes.

Out: Bolton

In: Short
I'm OK with minimal changes, as we're likely to get belted by Melbourne. I'd put it on them all to take their heads out their ass, and if the Dees torch us, make 5-6 changes the week after.
Out: Cotch

They have but it looks like they might welcome back Gawn, Lever and Hibberd from the side that lost to Port last night.

Grundy was smashed by the Port Ruck but can’t see us winning that battle, regardless of whether Gawn is back or not.

I am predicting a nervous, hesitant tigers to be on the end of a dominant smashing - can’t see Jack kicking many with their defence and with their midfield in control, we won’t get within 10 goals imo.

Ryan to be primary ruck
Miller to play back and provide ruck chop out
Bauer forward

We've really missed Short in recent weeks. He's part of the connection chain from defensive 50 to forward 50. Hopefully, he plays next week. Ralphy just doesn't have it atm (not sure if he ever will but hey he's only played 20 odd games), so clean swap.
Bauer or Ross to come in depending on forward and midfield structure.

Gawn will be back as we've heard a few times already.
